An excellent premise. I've watched the series at least 4 times, looking for all the threads that would have woven the tapestry of future episodes, and I never picked up on this one. A gambling addict forced to spend hours gambling. Even though he intellectually knew he had to lose at the table, what was going through his mind? Didn't he want the big score? I think you might be on to something, that this 'itch' might have manifested in a future episode. Nicely done.
