Wah! I love this story so much! Your portrayal of Light and L fascinates me. I think that I actually like this version of events more than the canon version. Your story manages to capture what I believe the relationship between L and Light would have been without Kira, or a similar case. The interaction between the two is just wonderful.

I know that some authors hate to hear this, but please continue to update this story, the sooner the better. Or rather, please continue to update with the same quality.

Oh my, come back! It's almost been a year since this fic was updated. The idea that I might never get to read any more of your work is.. horrifying. Especially since I'll probably keep coming back to check.. For years! :P

I really hope you update this story soon. I can't wait to see what happens. I'm not-so-secretly hoping that you'll throw in a little more Mikami/Light (*coughsexualcough*) tension, but I absolutely love the story you've weaved so far. I'll admit I was a little skeptical for the first few chapters but you've really drawn me with your writing and story telling (and that tennis match, jesus). It's very well written and paced, and you manage to infuse all chapters with a sense of tension and excitement (that TENNIS match). Anyway, now that the death note seems to be really coming into play I can't wait to see what happens next. Thanks for sharing so much already, can't wait for the rest.

I really enjoy this story. I'm surprised that no one has brought up the obvious point, though, that Light couldn't have done it simply because he wouldn't be that stupid. He'd chose a random distribution of criminals, not just ones he had connections to, though there would be one just so he didn't look suspicious. Clearly, someone is trying to frame him because it's so obvious he did it.

I love this fic. Please update! There wasn't an update in over half a year.

My goodness, where ARE you?! What am I going to do now that I have no idea when, if ever, that I can read a new chapter of this fic?!

Honestly, you evoke SUCH emotion from me with your writing. Concerto... I'm sorry; I should probably review it separately, but I found this more convenient. Concerto in D Minor put me through every emotion of the characters so vividly... And Of Music is no different. You have no idea how many times the heartwarming interactions between L and an non-Kira Light sent me giggling with glee. And that's just one example. You've made me so TENSE, so SCARED, and so NERVOUS at times. And the anticipation of some scenes...! I was physically affected countless times.

I actually learn more about myself and others from your ingenious characterizations, as well. You stuck a chord in me with this last chapter, when Light was reflecting upon himself. I often feel that my personality is something others can't understand. For example, I often feel...detached, in a way, from other people, and it touched me to see Light described that way (not completely the same, but in significant characteristics I've rarely found in other people). Not because I like Light; he's not my favorite character, though I do love reading about him in this. More because it explained something about me from a voice other than mine. I know that sounds weird, but... Thank you.

I can't even explain how much I love your characterization of L. I can't put my finger on it, but there's just so much you do RIGHT with him... He is entirely enthralling pretty much all the time.

I talk about your fics a lot. I truly admire your writing genius. I've mentioned countless times how I'd love to write like you. Psychological and serious is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. And the way you make me FEEL the words...! Your ability to create tension is glorious. You write some of the best sexual scenes, and you don't even do smut! I LOVE you for that. I absolutely love how you can tease so well...

It's amazing that I even began to read this fanfic, actually, because I usually don't touch AU's with a ten-foot pole. It just seems like most AU's don't even keep the characterization relatively the same, and I find it irrelevant to read about unknown characters in an unknown universe who happen to use the same names as a series that I like. But I amazingly decided to give this a try, because of your awe-inspiring work with Violins, Light and Concerto in D Minor. I absolutely don't regret it. You kept the characters as themselves but in a different situation. And now that I think about it, I've ALWAYS longed to see what would happen if Light were never Kira and met L. And you're just the author to portray that. Thank you so much for your contribution.

But back to the main point... I'm hurt that you've absolutely promised you'd never abandon this fic...and yet you haven't updated in half a year. It's not impatience... Well... I would be impatient, but I'd wait as long as you need... I'm more worried that you're gone and not coming back.
