Um... this IS really the longest Oneshot ever, which made handling it a little bit difficult but the story clearly compensates it. I think the best moment were when I noticed how the story had reached its near end and Zack said something about how an average soldier couldn't take him on... And I waited for him to die but he SURVIVED and Cloud is still himself in the end - sort of - and they're together with Aerith and even the SOLDIER team that was tracking Zack and Cloud made it out alive. I don't know how to put these anywhere, honestly, what whith Aerith's second cousin-in-law or something...

wow, very original and good writing! yeah I do wish it could have been broken up into chapters so I can revisit parts of the story easier, but still, awesome.

Really loved this! Especially the different perspectives! Zack was absolutely adorable with his internal monologues and such...and poor Cloud!

I was going over this story again and I had a thought: do they have claws for toenails too?

Kind of silly, no? But I have this scene in my head that just sort of popped up and made me laugh at the thought of Zack making faces as he wiggles his toes in front of someone’s face to freak them out.

…Ew. Stinky SOLDIER feet… Stomping around in those boots all day… Nasty.

Anyway, this is another story that I am looking forward to more on. Mind if I ask how far along you are, just in general? Anything from you is a present that I look forward to, even if it’s not in a category that I’m normally caught in. Case in point: Monochrome Factor. I don’t know what it is, but you’ve certainly got it.

Awesome writing! I really liked the storyline you developed. I would love to see this put into chapters, as it is very long. I find that when a story is broken down into more manageable chunks, it encourages more readers to give it a try. This is a really good story, and I would hate to think it wasn't receiving the recognition it deserves due to being a single chapter of daunting length. Overall, nicely done!

See, you browse this website, and you come across some decent fic, maybe even some good fic, and you read it and enjoy it as much as you can.

And then, occasionally, you come across something like this, and YOUR MIND, SHE IS BLOWN. I'm literally blown away by this. You took a canon situation and twisted it to a new and wonderful ending, you successfully incorporated all sorts of shout-outs to the gameplay mechanics of FFVII while making it feel like a living, breathing world that doesn't rely on numbers or menus, you created original characters and made me CARE about them and SERIOUSLY, do you know how hard that is in a story like this one? Hell, you even incorporated FFVII's recently-established wing fetish, and gave Cloud two of them, just to one-up everyone else. Best AU I've ever read, by far. Ten thousand kudos to you, my friend, and thank you so much for writing this.

very thought out, involved and intricate story. i enjoyed the OCs and was pleasently suprised to not want to fastforward through them to get to the Cloud-Zack parts. greatly enjoyed the references to griffan social groups and the Makobuster. yeah, i rofled at that.

all in all, a well involved story that sticks to the basic parameters of the 'verse.

This is beautiful! I'm no too big on the whole it being one chapter, but everyone is perfectly in character. This actually made me Like Aerith more. ^^;

Wow there is so much to say about this that I really can't say anything. Yeah that doesn't make much sense but this was massive and trying to say all I thought while reading would be tough.

It was an incredible trip. All the way from the breakout to making it to Midgar. Loved the pursuit team for Zack and Cloud. They really grew from just a bunch of guys to something a lot more than that.

The transformation with Cloud and Zack is pretty crazy too. Almost thought they would be fixed up or something when meeting up with Aerith. Though to be honest Cloud awake and aware is pretty fixed up in itself. Little too bad that they didn't run into Tifa or anything near the end. Along with the feeling of memories that stuck didn't seem to be surrounding Tifa and that whole incident.

Still was a lot of fun to read this and get caught up in it. Feel for those two as they struggled to survive. How Aerith was with them in spirit and talking to Cloud at times during the trip made it well worth it.

Really nice job.

A wonderful story, and a powerful one. I simply loved reading it, and I honestly can see the plot going this way. You have a wonderful way with words, and I hope you will write many more stories because you truly have the gift.
I also hope that you will write a sequal to this one? Hojo needs a comeupance, and both Zack and Cloud need closure, not to mention revenge, lol
