There were so many emotions involved, from alarm (I can't think of a scarier sound than a shotgun cocking) to friendship (great use of the universal greeting) to sadness (loss of a friend) to yearning (everyone wants to be remembered when they die). One of the best stories I've read.

the-real-mo 2007-12-22 ch 1,	abuse... wow. I really, really liked this. There's just an incredibly good feeling throughout this whole story -- I don't think I can quite put my finger on it. It was a lot more psychological than anything else I've read lately, and it had an almost laid-back narration to it that made it very enjoyable to read. Very believable, and just... this fanfic makes you think. Thanks for it!

SkyHighFan 2007-12-18 ch 1, anon.	abuseThat was nice but Sam WAS a hero: he saved the world when he killed Megatron. He ended a war that had gone on for thousands of years. Yes Mikeala and Bumblebee fought together but I think Mikaela returned because she couldn't stand being on the sidelines while the guy she loved risked his life for the world. Mikaela and Bumblebee's 11th hour cavalry charge was one of my favorite parts of the movie. Mikaela never fought alongside Jazz though. In the movie all but Jazz seemed to end up having a battle-partner: Lennox had Epps, Ratchet had Ironhide, Mikaela had Bumblebee and ultimatly Optimus had Sam. I liked how you had Optimus team up with Sam though: most stories have either Sam and Bumblebee and Mikaela and Bumblebee or Lennox and Ironhide pairings on missions but this is the first I read that paired up Optimus and Sam. Another story I liked paired everyone off together with an Autobot: Sam with Bumblebee, Mikaela with Ratchet, Ironhide with Lennox, Jazz with Maggie (who revived him from the dead with some help from Mikaela), Powerglide with a guy named David, Optimus with David's sister Victoria (who as it turned out were Keller's kids) and Chromia with a cop named Tess. That story ended with all of the Decepticons on Earth (except Scorponok: he was never mentioned) being killed after a huge battle that ended when Victoria managed to tap into Soundwave's mental power and hold Starscream in place long enough for David, Powerglide and a flight of F-22's to launch a strike that killed all of the Decepticons and ended the battle.
