Still, I really, really like this. To some people, I'm sure Tomoe's a deterrent, but not for me. And I loved this little oneshot, with the parallel of the diary between the two parts...nicely done.

Whoa...reviews here are kind of solemn...I see your point about Tomoe's kid. He or she would disappoint us, unlike little Kenji.
Still, Tomoe is my third favorite character after Kenshin and Misao.

Tomoe-haters...I hate 'em. Tomoe is a dramatic character, perfect for RuroKen, and her death scene is the only thing I hate about Watsuki-sensei's manga.

Transition to Battousai? Isn't he already Battousai in this? Tomoe's death is more what started him on his long transition to Rurouni.

I love Kaoru and Kenji too, but I also love Tomoe. It simply depends on which era I'm in the mood for. I do agree though, that a child of there's would probably not be as... spirited as our dear Kenji is.

Sadness. Very nice, although there are a few lines that are a little awkwardly worded.

I have to disagree with you on the pairing debate, though. I really, really like KxT. I don't know why. (And I don't really like KxK all that much anymore...I blame bad fanfiction. I don't mind the pairing in canon, but it's always written so poorly...)

And bah. Tomoe-haters are silly. My best friend got flamed once for simply having Tomoe in her AU story, even though the summary made it clear that she was going to be involved, and I got flamed the other day...apparently, since I like Tomoe, I can't possibly like Kaoru. o-o People are stupid.

Sorry for the rambling. I really do hope you don't get flamed. You probably won't...I'd been writing fics with Tomoe in them for a long time before I got my first flame. If you do, though, don't take it seriously. A lot of us do, and it's best just to laugh at the flamer.
