2009-08-14 . chapter 4
In regard to the end of Gods, and my earlier message about Rey's identity, there isn't a doubt in my mind that i was right. Rey's parents are Takato and Rika. Also, where she uses her powers is a dead giveaway. But why kill off Ryder? He's freakin' awesome!

Rey is Takato and Rika's daughter, isn't she?

Well now, it took me a while to read this, but it was very cool and well done. I thought it was very funny in the beginning, a cool fight in the middle, with a little slow down into sadness at the end. Very good and interesting as always.

P.S. Is there ever going to be a demon of Dimension, cause that would be awesome and ironic.

...not enough new info for me to postulate anything I haven't already left in a review elsewhere. Oh well, back to Tricks.

Here's what I'm thinking:

1) Rika has twins, David and Rey.
2) The world has been conquered by someone, human, digimon, or both, and he is trying to conquer and/or destroy the Digital World.
3) Rika and Takato, and likely other powerful Tamers and digimon, are the THEM mentioned near the end of this chapter and have been captured and are being held by the enemy.
4) Ryder is among the captured or among the dead, either way a very bad thing.
5) Davis is an Angel, as you have implied that the Angels need the D-Vice's to better channel their powers. I believe he is the Angel of Miracles.
6) HE is the one who revived the Dark Masters and sent the Demon Lords.
7) Henry is the Angel of Knowledge.

Since I've run out of thoughts I'll stop there. I ask that when if you reply that you simply tell me whether I'm hot or cold. If you want to know my reasoning behind some of the above, feel free to ask. I'll respond in my next review. Now...
On to Dimensions Book Five: Demons!

2009-02-27 . chapter 3
The nine angels were created by Chaos and Harmony combining there powers to produce them. Since Rika and Takato are chanelling their powers now, then they would have to do something to create a new angel, for instance, Rika giving in to her hormones and kicking their relationship up a couple dozen notches.

I normally wouldn't review unless I had a major laughing fit from a story or I had reached the most recent stuff, but I just had to throw my ideas on this at you. Keep up the good work!

Writer's block, it again. Gotta loathe it, but that was a cliff hanger. Can't wait to figure this one out.

Well, I will say... I am indeed cursing and swearing.

Of course, you had completely intended for it to be so... *shruggs*

I know for one that this took darn long to read... such that I had to wait for the next time I was online to be able to review it. But what the heck. It is worth it. I enjoy knowing Ivy's problems and finding out that Daemon was alive (only to be killed by Ivy... ironic really). But Daemon's words ring in my ears like nothing else: "It appears you have already signed a deal with another devil". This was most definitely hard to forget. Now I think I understand why her theme song is 'Devil May Care'... cause the devil (whoever he is) may truly care... or not.

But it seems that Ivy and Ryder are sharing a whole lot of similarities, both unable to reveal the secrets that they keep inside, thus distancing them from the others in their group. But with Ivy, one now wonders who really is behind Ivy's ability to tap her fingers and end up in the Catalysm world... and then end up with a headache. This new chapter certainly opens up possibilities I never thought of (seriously, you caught me by surprise... though not much). Of course, as usual, Extra Dimensions chapters are usually misleading (like Survivor... much) and usually end up in more questions than answers.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the battle in this chapter, though it was really too bad we couldn't catch more of a glance of the others of Ryder's team other than the fact that they practically idolise a part of Ryder that rarely shows in the pressence of all the gogglehead leaders... well, and that Douglas is pretty much a jerk, but that's beside the point.

I really wonder about you increasing the roles of minor characters and now finally showing your OCs and making them properly part of the plot without shouding them in mystery (like Ivy...). But I guess, like you said, we have to 'Wait and see'.

Ah ha, finally this one is up. I must say, the length is now right, so how about keeping all future works at this suitable length?

Since the mere exploration of the chapter just added the much needed spiciness and effect that made even the mmost normal scene much more exciting than ever. After all, the Christmas scenes are bound to be boring and uninteresting with just life events, but when there is a great length like this to explore every detail and corner of the events, everything just seems to be better than any other.

The building of the plot is simply marvelous, since you have two nice scenes developing with great detail intensity and as well as the Christmas theme to make a great feel to the general plot line. Of course, the best thing here is the eye-candy for Ivy's universe with many things to come and unfolding of events. The parts with Tamer's universe is appropriately lengthed since it tells enough of what's happening, yet leaving enough for the main show.

With that said, the ending part is very well fitting for the whole piece of work itself, knowing that it is all is not well with Ivy. It only makes everything more interesting when it all comes together, so as you said: Wait and see. Very good advice, so hopefully that all chapter lengths can be just as packed and good as this one.

This was great, and very long. I just thought it was funny the 'Masculine Desk' thing. It's kinda wierd a masculine desk, though I guess it a girl's room it would stand out.

I feel really sorry for Ivy, she's as angsty as Ryder. Speaking of which I liked the scene with Mari and Ryder after the letter. I didn't think Mari would do that. Ryder I can understand his reaction and marks to him for not looking away but sooner or later he's going to have to start acting like Mari's boyfriend. At least he knows now that Mari won't get upset with him for calling her attractive. Why would she? This chapter may be an indication that more fire will enter into their relationship soon, which is good. Ryder and Takato have a lot in common when it comes with how they react to their beloveds.

A pretty good chapter with a number of interesting surprises and a very good look on Ivy’s side of the dimensional fence, which I found to be far more entertaining and revealing than Ryder’s end (which appeared to serve the purpose of showing how Ryder was holding up against Ivy and his old group’s beliefs in how he was doing). This chapter did a lot to develop Ivy’s character and, if nothing else, greatly improved it and added depth to her. In the story proper we’ve only seen Ivy on the peripheral where she fits into the role of ‘creepy stalker’ more often than not with a possible ‘evil overlord’ type hidden agenda (even if that’s not the actual case). Here we see Ivy struggling with adapting to a life where the person she loves is trapped in another world with minimal possibility of his ever coming back and one, if not two, of their friends writing him off as either dead or unrescuable. Ivy also shows some nice leadership skills with quelling an argument, which goes to show that Ryder made a good choice at least that far, though afterwards remains to be seen.
It was surprising to see Daemon still kicking around, considering how badly he got stomped the last time we saw him (one would think that he wouldn’t, or rather SHOULDN’T, have survived the Cataclysm but we all know that Daemon is a freakin’ cockroach that just won’t stay dead, and it’s also a testament to just how much of a badass Daemon is). I’m quite surprised that Ivy contemplated accepting a proposal with him to begin with. It doesn’t take much to know that making any deal with that guy is the equivalent of being handed a broken package and anything that Daemon does is likely to screw you over in the end. Deals with the devil are like that. And speaking of that, it’s certainly interesting to learn about that with Ivy and opens up a number of questions in regards to who she made it with and how it got pulled off.
For the record, Daemon’s saying that plenty of good digimon having turned evil is not a reason to put any kind of trust (in the essence of ‘taking him seriously’) in him as he’s not repentant for his actions. But if taking him seriously means not holding back when fighting him then by all means.
Very nice to see Dianamon go one on one with Daemon and delete him. That’s one loose end that needed finishing and I doubt anyone will miss him. :P
A good chapter overall. ‘Till next time then.
