abuseI just started your story and look forward to reading more of it, you take on the characters voice very well, it is as if Applegate is writing the story. It makes the story very enjoyable when the pace, style and story follow the formula that made these books such hits.

abuseVery good fic. Covers a lot of themes like morality and the differences between cultures.

The Kelbrid in this story are really ** me off. But I guess that's what you were going for.

Please update soon.

abuseI really liked the first couple lines about free will, those were quite well-written and penetrating.

abuseOh, thank God, and I mean that sincerely, for a better ending to the Animorphs series. I love your fic, it's a truly original plot and species of new characters who are very different and yet not so incomprehensible to me as they find the humans to be to them. The history of the Kelbrid well explains their current behavior as a race, and yet like Tobias I wonder if they too don't change out of stubborn willfulness or simply a belief that they can't, as much as one that they shouldn't. And who am I to judge, and how can I not...

I believe someone somewhere mentioned how hard it is to capture the characters' voices, and it's true, but you manage it very well, keeping old identifiers in their personalities yet also allowing them to change and grow with the circumstances. As you say in your bio, the whole fandom (well, all fandoms) are filled with mary-sueism and wanton destruction of cannon for the sake of a fantasy plot-fulfillment and sheer ignorance of the characters as well as any idea of how to actually write a decent fic. Thank you for your excellent contribution to this section of fanfics, b/c it desperately needed it. I'm waxing poetic, but it's incredibly hard to find a good Animorphs fic of any length so I greatly appreciate yours.

I faves you!

Now, I am off to read book 56.

P.S. I'm talkative anyways, but I hope this has helped satisfy your longing for more detailed full-length reviews. : )

abuseThis story is fabulous. I know you hope for more constructive reviews, but really, this is all I can think right now. You've captured the personalities and "speaking" style of each character exactly and made them distinct, a task even KA Applegate admitted to be difficult to achieve. I just re-read the series again this summer and caught onto a lot more of the nuances of the story and the emotional struggle they all went through (stuff I missed as a 10 or 12-year old reading them). This story continues that mature approach toward the difficult subjects of war and honor perfectly, making it a joy for a 20-year old like me to read. I just have one question: Are you planning on bringing the Yeerks back in your trilogy, or have you decided that the Animorphs need to move on to bigger and better foes. Also, will The One be making an appearance again? (Sorry, I guess that was two questions!) Please, please continue this, for the sake of all the Animorphs fans. You are really a gifted writer.

abuseHmm...reminiscent of the Ketran/Capasin encounters, on a second reading. Quite a good chapter.

abuseTwo new chapters: neat!
I found the Kelbrid backstory very interesting. Unwittingly killed by psychic energy ... obviously the Leth were susceptible, but does this mean that the Kelbrid are strong projectors? I don't know if you meant to imply that, but I like the idea.
I think I'd prefer that the fic focused more on established characters, but nonetheless I like your conception of the Kelbrid.

abuseThis chapter is just great. It really echoes the talk Marco gave Jake in 54, and it meshes so well with both of their characters. Your characterization in this story is very good.

I really like this story, and I look forward to reading future chapters. =)

abuseMarco chapters are always fun. Also, am I right in thinking that the creepy moon will reappear in the story?
I like that the blue box is going to play a role in the story.
