bonboni 2008-01-08 . chapter 9wow, that was a very exciting ending! and what with locke... i would have never expected that to happen!
“Dude,” Hurley panted as they ran over to Jack’s tent. “I still don’t get why we all freak out and assume we have to shoot someone just because a couple people go on a freaking walk…” - lol! hurley just cracks me up sometimes!

Dark.Morning 2007-12-31 . chapter 5I've only gotten up to chapter 5 here, but I think you're being unfair to Jack. I mean, really! Remember way back in season 1 when he wouldn't give up on Charlie's life even though Kate was like, "NO! Stop!" and then Charlie did come back and Jack was all, like, holding him and crying. I thought they've been pretty good friends. |
Dark.Morning 2007-12-29 . chapter 3I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's wonderful! *hugs Des and Charlie* |
Kelly 2007-12-28 . chapter 9 I don't even know where to start with how entertaining this was for me. Since Charlie died, I've kinda been living off of fanfiction. And let me tell you, this is the kind of story that helps me sleep at night, the whole perfect, nice, Charlie-lives! ending that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Even if the torture scenes made me squeamish. (And on one last note, the whole 'if-I-cut-off-his-thumb-he'll-never-play-guitar-again' thing was sweet perfection.) |
Alix Zin 2007-12-18 . chapter 9Wow, what an intense ending. I liked how in the end it was the same people fighting Locke that went on the original rescue mission in the begining. My favorite part was that brief moment when Charlie collapsed on Desmond when he just held him thier mometarily, so cute.
The funny thing is I never saw my comments as making suggestions or as critical, I was just pondering out loud what I thought was going to happen. You actually surprised me when you started to use them! And you're not in my dept at all, you wrote this amazing story that caused me endless amounts of happiness, its the other way around, sister! |
sk8r-girl 2007-12-18 . chapter 9 yeah! that was amazing! loved it! it is lik my favorite story ever! lol! very good, very moving! |
Spice of Life 2007-12-18 . chapter 9Oh my God, when I thought Sayid was going to cut his thumb off, I started flipping out. I was like, "Ew, no, no!"
I'm very glad he didn't : D I don't think it was the whole "thumb" part that got me, just when you said he wouldn't be able to play guitar anymore. : ( |
xCharlie-Groupiex 2007-12-18 . chapter 9Thanks so much for the great read, Hannah! I am VERY satisfied. Except for the whole Charlie being dead thing...:(
:D Yay! CharliexClaire! And the Chesmond and Chayid friendship was the best! Thanks so much for this!
I think I owe Desmond a hug :) Stupid Locke! How could he?! *Grumbles* Crazy bastard :O
And no, I'm not on Crack Cocaine ;) Though many people have assumed this as well :P I wish I could have a huge band-aid to give to Charlie! I can't believe he almost got his finger cut off!
I'm going to get off topic for a sec. Just wanted to know, are you still reading my story? Because you've stopped reviewing, and I always look forward to your reviews :(
Lol sorry, anyway, thanks again, you are a really professional writer, and because of the wonderful ending to this story, I no longer feel the need to punch something!
Love you!
xox Sacha-P.S. Thanks for mentioning me, I am pleased very easily ;) |
 falafel-fiction 2007-12-18 . chapter 9Applause...throws flowers...well done for finishing this!
OMG the Sayid stuff in this chapter was intense! It's always been a little angsty dream of mine for Sayid to be forced into torturing one of his friends, Charlie being the ideal candidate, because it means he gets a slice of the gritty action. Those Charlie/Sayid/Locke scenes were gruelling! And it was cool how extreme it was since the Charlie torture in the Looking Glass turned out to be less servere than I was expecting. Not that I like torturing Charlie (ha! What a blatant lie!) I just like seeing Charlies brave and enduring side.
I loved the Sayid/Charlie hug, loved the Desmond carrying Charlie-ness, loved all Hurley's oneliners (you're so good at them) Loved this line too -
“Your name is ‘Hurley,’ so maybe you should stop talking,” Claire said, laughing along with Charlie.
Claire made a funny!! Great series. I'm looking forward to your 'Fidelite' sequeal and I would love some more 'Big Island in the Sky' one day. Sorry for retiring, but (just to let you know) I'll be setting up the next CharlieLives! challenge on LJ and I may write a short fic for that. |
Jemmz 2007-12-18 . chapter 9That was amazing... :o I was completely caught up in the emotion you were trying to capture. I flinched at the pain Charlie recieved and I also felt some fear and upset towards the situation which is just amazing! That's always a good thing when writing ;) I AM satisfied with this ending. I think it was perfect. The Locke death was good too. My hate for him just GREW! What a terrible person he became. The ending was wonderful, it was all so excellent! Huge well done =] There's lots of things I could say! but AMAZING just about sums it up! :D |
pacejunkie 2007-12-18 . chapter 9The first thing that went through his mind was that he wouldn’t be able to play his guitar anymore.
I think you'll understand when I say this was the angstiest line in the whole thing. It elicited a big AW from me.
I'm so sad this is over, but what an amazing end to this story. That was one of the best action scenes I've ever read, it was so well choreographed. I was picturing Sayid's struggle and Charlie shooting in Locke and Desmond's direction. It was so tense. Very exciting. And I forgive you for abusing our boy, I've gone off on him a few times in my day *blushes*.
And even in a dark chapter like this you managed to add plenty of Hurley humour. I love when he was asking Jack how he managed to make all his leaps of logic: “Dude,” Hurley panted as they ran over to Jack’s tent. “I still don’t get why we all freak out and assume we have to shoot someone just because a couple people go on a freaking walk…”
It was like a snark at the show and the ridiculous writing. I kept wondering if Hurley and Claire weren't going to come in and rescue everyone but the way you wrote it was better. And yay for ineffectual Jack! I know Cappy's going to swoon over that Sayid/Charlie hug and they're general squishiness.
I really look forward to your next story. |
Alix Zin 2007-12-16 . chapter 8*screams* No! I need no know what happens! Normally I enjoy cliffhangers but...*screams again* This story is my replacement for the show, so I'm taking it rather seriously.
MUST FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS!
great Chesmond in this chap by the way |
pacejunkie 2007-12-16 . chapter 8Another great chapter! Cool bit of excitement at the end. Can't wait to see what happens next. And I actually liked Sawyer in this. |
Jemmz 2007-12-16 . chapter 8Aww, I loved the beginning! You actually made me LIKE Sawyer! I think it's sweet that everyone wants to protect Charlie. Great chapter! |
