ch 8,
abuseExcellent chapter! I enjoyed the language session at the very beginning. I liked it when the Enstads revisited their intimacy. And when Christian sampled...well, that scene is right out of real life. I sampled, too, and yes, it was warm, sweet, and thin.

Ingrid's reading of the dictionary is inspired. I think she was definitely doing the right thing, and I can understand her terror and expectation of getting fired. But she wanted to learn, not just for helping with the babies, but for Jonathan's sake as well. And his coming over for a midnight visit, complete with the pebbles, is straight out of fairy tales and the Arabian Nights... Nice touch with the pebbles! (Actually, that is kind of interesting, because Ali Baba does have attempted communication via pebbles AND a servant falling in love with someone important to her boss...)

I think it's great that both Christian and Leslie are going to encourage them...well, Leslie's the matchmaker, but Christian is both for both of them...

Wow! Your teaser for the next story sounds great! I can't wait to read it...

abuseGood, I'm glad Christian and Leslie got through their fight. Hmm, and they are amorous again...excellent.

Oh, so Magga did leave...glad you confirmed it (since they didn't actually see her off at the seaplane dock earlier in the story!)

There it is, the necessary evil of the conversation Roarke had to have. It went better than I thought it did. Well written! :)

abuseGetting the cherry seltzer was a good idea, and I was amazed she made the jordsklocka... Roarke better have that convo with them, and fast...

Again, the idea of Roarke watching the triplets by himself for a few hours is a remarkably nifty idea...perhaps in September. Glad he's keeping his work relatively light until Leslie comes back to work with him. I've noted he likes more unusual fantasies, ones which are out of the ordinary requests (even ones that stretch him a bit), so he's probably a bit bored for now. It'll be interesting in about 20 years when he has both Leslie and Karina has his assistants...how complex will the fantasies get before Leslie retires?

Yeah! Ingrid's getting a bit of English! Hooray!

Would be nice if Janine could go to Boston for the Pops celebration (I enjoy watching it on tv greatly myself), but it would take her too long now to get there, and actually I think that the time difference means that the program is actually starting, in real time, at the time she leaves the Enstads...certainly people are already there at the Esplanade!

Nice twist, bringing up the Pops Goes the Fourth celebration...

abuseOh crud, the title has TWO meanings...Jonathan and Ingrid, and Janine's problem...which is getting worse. Rats rats rats!

Ingrid's nice, and I'm glad you are developing her character a bit. I hope she and Leslie will finally get to talk TO each other, if haltingly, in their own languages (instead of via interpreter). Not only will they develop a good relationship of their own, but Leslie will become a friend of hers. And should she actually marry Jonathan, Leslie and Christian would be able to sit on Ingrid's side of the aisle (and considering how huge Jonathan's family is, that's a GOOD THING!).

Oh, that was such wonderful scene, of Christian putting Tobias to sleep with a lullaby...

Good chapter!

abuseSo cool...Karina can be Leslie's assistant, and then someday, Roarke's assistant too...

So that was what Magga wanted to talk to Roarke about? Sheesh...yeah, he's right. And Magga needs to find herself someone... somehow, I suspect she's still a virgin...

What a great visit to the office for the trips!

Poor Jonathan and Ingrid...something's gotta be done about them, but I suspect it'll take a few stories down the road.

Hmm, I want to see Mateo's conversation with Anna-Kristina when he asks her about all her names and why she didn't tell him of them...

Wow, the London office is certainly booming! Next thing you know, he'll have to open one up in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and Edinburgh...

Ahah! Julianne knows as well...how soon will she start teasing her brother? Hehehe...

abuseOh, cool! Ingrid and Jonathan, sitting in a tree...k-i-s-s-i-n-g...

And Jeremy and Holly...exciting!

So, they'll get rid of Magga...and there's nothing wrong with Janine having a crush on her Uncle...but being royal, her experiences are limited.

Cool, a great Mariki dinner with Roarke at the Enstad's place! Can I come too?

Enjoyed the whole chapter, although I wish Margareta could admit to Christian her problem...well, we'll see what talks to Roarke about.

Hey, wait a sec! She HAD to have been having the spice while she's been on the island, right? I certainly hope that Ingrid doesn't goof and put any in the babies food once they start eating!

ch 2,
abuseA very interesting chapter. I'm sure Janine will have a good time doing this, and I like her interest in jordiska foods and recipes. Of course, I'm worried she'll develop a crush on Christian... Certainly wouldn't be the problem he had Ingela...

Those foods sound yummy again...glad I just had some breakfast, or I'd be hungry really fast! Hmm, breakfast pockets sound neat. I guess they are kinda like our Hot Pocket thingies.

ch 1,
abuseI loved the feeding the triplets scene.

No picky brats who won't eat their veggies...oops, that's me. Too bad my mom couldn't do that for me...

Hahaha! She'll learn jordiska as the babies do...how sweet.

Good jordiska foods: salmon, silver-spangled trout, lingonberry jam... I'd love to try some cloudberry jam and some cherry seltzer! Sadly though, I find crustacean meat (crabs, lobster) too rich for me...alas...

Aw (lots of w's here), the babies are so cute...especially when they burp. Hmm, I think Tobias takes after me in the burping department...

I think Janine will be a good shopper. Eager, has a brain, motivated...

On to chapter 2!

ch 8,
abuseI love how Mr. Roarke is so looking forward to spending time with his grandchildren...but will he be willing to help Ingrid and Jonathan? I don't like Janine very much-she's so self-absorbed and ...real! Thanks for a real mouse-turner! I look forward to more of Leslie's "matchmaking"...!

abuseMy dear Mr. Roarke, as usual, you spot things and explain things to people in a way that makes a good deal of sense. Lets hope that Christian and Leslie are able to put this advice to good use.

abuseChristian, I know you are used to being gawked at, but this young lady has a MAJOR league crush on you! She is doing everything that she can to subtley get your attention. If you aren't careful, she is going to try something DRASTIC to get it! And you may not like what she is going to do to get it!
