How do you write such amazing poems?

Of the broken and damned
He is embraced by death:

There's something in that...that stuns. Something in the fact of how much it truly differentiates their souls, the purity and innocence of Lily and the twisted and marred Severus.

Gorgeous.

And the idea that he is embraced...also kind of gives the idea that death stole her away...and maybe he embraced death in the same way he might welcome Lily.

...then of course the image of his youthful grin as she runs to meet him was just beautiful.

If I could write poetry like you...well then I'd actually be able to write poetry.

I love this... so much. Sorry it's taken me so long to R/R- I'm actually grounded and am therefore "working on my french project." Anyway, this poem is gorgeous! I think I like the last two parts the best. Beautiful word choice- "of the broken and damned, he is embraced by death"-depressing and slightly disturbing, but I love it. Brilliant job as always, keep writing! :)

"Regret, engrained on his arm"=best line ever. Such a wonderful way to put it!

I had to read this twice before I figured out it was Snape talking about Lily. I think my favorite line is "Regret, engrained on his arm." The Dark Mark, of course. It's very lyrical, Huffie. If Snape had any poetry in his soul, this is what he'd write, for sure. Nice job!

I love this. Im gonna put it in faves, actually. It really, really shows how close they once were, and there's not enough fics/poems like that, they're all about James beating Snape, yknow?? :/

I really, really love this. It's like...yknow how when Steven did his monologue earlier?? All I can think when he does that is "How the hell does he DO it," cause he just makes everybody CRY!! That's what it's like here!! It's like "HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO IT?!" You word it so fecking well!! Grr!!
