I started reading this story at some point this afternoon. It's now exactly 2:00 AM. (Needless to say, I am ready to lay down and DIE.)

First off...I compliment you on the sheer ADDICTIVENESS of this story. Even while re-reading the same sentences over and over again at midnight I just couldn't take a FREAKING break. (I've yet to determine if this is a good thing or not. I don't think my brain will ever fully recover.)

The thing I think I love most about cherry apple wine overall is the humor. It weaves in SO WELL with the rest of the story. Sasuke's mom and Naruto had me CACKLING (yes, cackling) through half of this story (though I admit that might have been due to the sleep deprivation).

The way you write Sasuke is amazing. (Nuff said.) He's complicated and stotic...without being an outright ASS. I think you did really well making him a believeable (loveable) loner type.
I'm loving the new development with McDiva as well. :P A jealous Sasuke is WAY more fun than an emo one in denial. (Is it bad that I'm hoping for a cat fight in the next chapter between the two?)

I hope that the yo momma jokes and man catfights will carry on into the next chapter!

...You do know, don't you, that one chapter will never be enough? I bet you when this ends, I'll end up crying buckets. Well, I can always re-read this. I hold cherry apple wine in the same regard as watching chick flicks (and by chick flicks I mean the high quality, slightly older ones like While You Were Sleeping and Notting Hill and Mrs. Winterbourne) while you're bundled up in blankets on a cold night. It's highly therapeutic.

Your Karin is such a wonderful version. She's so originally bitchy. Her cattiness here suits her a lot more than if she was merely a jealous love rival. It gives her a lot of access to Sasuke too, without it ever being an actual hindrance to Sakura. I'm not sure I mentioned it, but I loved her interaction with Shikamaru. It wasn't necessary, but it was very revealing. Karin was a perfect blend of vulnerable egoist, and Shikamaru the cold genius. He's so very rarely portrayed the type, but it's only logical that he be cold. I'm a little gleeful of the fact that Shikamaru won't give the time of day to any girl, but he'll willingly pursue (albeit lazily) Ino. *sighs* Ah, InoShika for teh win. heart

Sasuke is still drowning in denial, but slowly creeping his way out of the sludge courtesy of Naruto (who is, by the way, earning tons of brownie points for being annoyingly nosy). Still, would you stab him with a few more of the following please?

"Sasuke looked at her, in the mint-green strapless dress, the black peep-toe pumps, the matching clutch, the beaded pearl necklace—the one he’d given her.

The one she was wearing to dinner with another man."

Repeatedly if you don't mind, and rather mercilessly, please. I would like his nose to be rubbed in it when he finally realizes his stupid. :)

Sasuke and Neji... *snorts* Allow me to be uncouth and relay this mental image: two large franks waving back and forth and against each other like limp sabers. lol "Manshow." Yes.

As always, waiting for the next installment with fidgety patience. No pressure, though. :) I can always re-read the passages I like whenever I get cravings.

Anywho...I laughed really hard at Sasuke's 'your momma' statement =P Tee hee. The next chapter should be very interesting...>=) Neji is acting like a bastard! Then again, I've never particularly cared for him to begin with...

And I just have to open my mouth (coz I love frozen yogurt) and point out that frozen yogurt actually does contain milk in it. That's what differentiates it from ice cream, which is actually made from cream (did I mention I love frozen yogurt?)

im pretty sure by the next time i read your next chapter, the whole world will hear my squeal of delight. So...just a warning, if you so happen to come by this high pitch shriek in the middle of the night, thats probably me, because your fic makes me so utterly devoted and excited.

I truly love the confrontation between Neji and Sasuke. Neji was bit odd at the end...then again its Neji.

Oh...and i would LOVE to see those two ( sasuke and neji ) bake cookies and braid each others hair..though sasuke might only accomplish with a small one on his head. ahhahah..why not a bow to top it all of eh?
