This made me cry. You really seem to understand what its like to be bullied and that made this totally believable. Its not just the pysical aspect but the mentality, thinking you somehow deserve it. Simon's reaction was absolutly perfect too. Anger, upset, understanding and gentle love. I'd love to get an update for this. Does Jeanette escape and rediscover her self-worth?

You write with such a sense of intution; it's almost like you are really inside their heads, not just standing by and narrating.
And yet, there's a sense of detachment, like they are characters on their own and anything could happen.
I'm awed, to say the least.

I think I started to read this at one point, but gave up. I just re-read it and I'm glad I did. This is very well-written.
