But, that having been said I /did/ just read Akane a little while back and found it to be really, really good, so this is a nice second. Well put together (I can understand the over-use of italics, trust me): in particular, your characterization of 'Akane' is always entertaining, especially when viewed through the lens of someone who isn't exactly an unbiased observer. I look forward to seeing more of your work, whatever you write. But seriously. JF. |

(I wasn't sure there was going to be one!) 3) 'Experimental' equals 'Damn nifty!' You left them in a hell in "Akane" and this is just a brief visit. I don't know who I feel most sorry for. Everyone got a raw deal. But 1) is most important. |

| octopusfluff 2007-11-14 ch 1, | abuseI hadn't read 'Akane' in .. well, years, it looks like, so I went and re-read it as soon as I realized what this was popping up on my alerts, then I went and read this short little piece. I'm rather intrigued as to what you may have in mind. Is it going to sit at Ryoga's point of view? It looks like, from the beginning tone, you're going to perhaps be exploring the discontinuity of the two personalities living in the one body, and that has a lot of interesting possibilities. Nabiki having a breakdown over the truth of Akane/Ranma would have an amusing sort of balance to it. It would make me giggle. Random italics indeed. I look forward to seeing more. It's an excellent start, and shows little ill effect for the lack of beta. |
