Hello BrieflyDel! Thanks for another great story. You really are a very talented writer and all of your stories in this genre equally match each other in terms of quality.

It is a great interpretation of Wormtail i.e. his past...just how did that little rat end up in Gryffindor? And in his present his cold and pathetic rationalising of his betrayal.

I also love your treatment of James and Sirus' relationship which is handled beautifully as it is in all of your other pieces.

It is great how you worked in extracts from PoA...the ending is particularly chilling...

Cool. Not at all what I pictured Peter's thoughts to be like but that really doesn't matter. It's a good different.

Whoa-very chilling! I never thought about Peter in-depth before...and now that I have, I still think he's scum. Grrr...if Nagini doesn't take care of him, *I* will. As with everything else I've read of yours, this was very well done.

I wrote you a review for "Apres", but for some reason it did not post. Therefore, let me make my statement for that one here as well as for "How I Could"- you are one of the two most intuitive writers in this genre that I have read; your perception of Viktor has stunned me, as it so closely matches- nay, equals- my own. I cannot commend you enough, and for the sake of comparing our Viktors, I extend you the invitation to read my still-unfinished "Every Breath We Drew."

Oh my gosh! What a chiller! I love the way you worked in the "It has happened, my lord" of Harry's imaginings from PoA. The idea that the Death Eaters' marks flared up when Voldemort's power was destroyed, and that the more devoted the Death Eater, the more painful the experience-thus enabling the entirely self-serving Peter to escape-is nifty. Peter's cold-blooded little self-justifications ring so true. The ending is especially creepy.

well done Pettigrew. Well not sympathetic or even supportive, this was a lovely exploration of a very hard character to get right. Five stars.

The last three lines were absolutely perfect. I like your explanation for Peter's Sorting; I've been puzzling over that one, myself. A very believable depiction, in my opinion.
