I love the idea of this, and I love the way you wrote it. The characterizations are awesome, and Hinamori just seems to... I don't know, jump out at me. The way you write as her, when I read it's like I'm feeling what she's feeling.

Waiting patiently for an update!

I am kicking myself for not clicking on your story before this. Hinamori wakes up from a coma is one of the most overused and done to death plot cliches in the Bleach fandom and I ignored it because I was sick of them, but this story has a great opening chapter. I thought you set up the background well with the teasing hints of what happened to Hinamori in Hueco Mundo and what's happened in the meantime.

You tap into Aizen's cruelty so well in the opening scene. The mocking almost caress and the viciousness of sending Hinamori into a perpetual coma is brilliant. How very like him to ensure that even if he loses, there will always be that little knife in the heart of Soul Society because one of their most well-liked Shinigami is trapped in the Fourth Division for the rest of her existence because of him. That he could reach out from beyond the grave and poison their victory would please him.

I also enjoyed what you did with Hinamori's characterization. Too many authors, even die hard Hinamori fans, portray her as a weepy, bumbling damsel in distress. She was the one who went back to help Hisagi when he faced all those Huge Hollows back in her Academy days, she faced down Byakuya over his refusal to treat Renji after he lost to Ichigo before Kira made her back down and she's universally acknowledged as a kido master. The girl's a fighter and I'm glad your story is letting her show it.

I would sign in to review this chapter (again...) but I can't double-review ;)

*points down* That is what I actually figured too. Just the other day, I was wondering what the hell was with the stick, and what happened to Tobiume, and then bam! Putting the two together seemed to make sense. I mean, it would make sense that Tobiume would make her listen to the OC talking about her prison time to help her remember and to piece together that the bond had somehow been severed. Question is, how? Why?

A) It was part of her torture. Severing the bond of a shinigami and their zanpakutou would not only remove their ability to fight back, but their will as well. It could be the point in time when Momo lost her ability to care, and any hope of rescue.

B) During the healing process, there was a chance of Tobiume dying. The shinigami may have severed the bond to save both or one of the two (Momo and/or Tobiume) and then let them reconnect when she woke up from the coma. It would make sense they would entrust Hitsugaya with the zanpakutou either way.

I'm not sure why, but I can imagine Tobiume causing a mess of Soul Society while it was paniking and looking to reunite with his mistress. I find the idea highly amusing.

You do have to wonder though...how do they know what the cause of Momo's coma was? Well, I imagine Aizen or one of the Arrancar explaining in detail as all villains do, their evil plan. But still...

Momo's torture is another thing I'm really curious about. At one point, you imply that she had attempted suicide out of desperation. I'm really looking forward to reading more about the pain she was going through to force her to such crazy attempts to end it all. I also can't help but wonder if Hitsugaya knows about that. If he didn't, would she tell him? If he did, how did he feel about that, knowing the happy-go-lucky childhood friend had been so depressed she was driven to that?

I'm looking forward to Shiro-chan again ^_^ I can just imagine him talking to Kira, saying "Who set off the kidou?" Then turning to Momo. "YOU. You are supposed to be recovering! Not making fireworks!" XDLmao.

And finally, the drawings. They are all very, very pretty. I envy your skills, A LOT. I could never hope to learn to draw like that XD The chapter four picture? I imagine the clue rests with the sword just within her arm's reach. I just can't figure out what...

The longest review I have ever given is for you and your awesome story @_@ Update soon. I mean it.

This is probably one of the most realistic takings of what happens to Hinamori I've ever read. I like the fact that you made her consider so many options before giving up. It gives so much instrospection into her character that not a lot of people do. It was also very interesting to read, so I applaud you for your talent.

I have a feeling that her so called walking stick is actually Tobiume. Perhaps it's been sealed or something?

I really hope you update...this story is very, very well written. I would very much so like to know what happens!

Take care,

Hm, I'm intrigued. Hitsu/Hina has always been a pet shipping of mine, and you've kept them in-character despite the time-shift. Aside from a few spelling/grammatical errors, this is a very well-written fic. I look forward to reading more.

Update soon!

How wonderful! A writer that understands the difference between "their" and "they're"! And "there", of course, mustn't forget that.

Now, let's see... The story is fabulous, by the way. The plot is by no means original, but it's certainly better written than other version of this I've seen. Suspenseful, too - cliffies are every author's friend, and every reader's nightmare. But you certainly seem to have it all planned out, so that's good. Better than just diving into it.

Your characterization isn't horrible, not at all. I'm rather fond of the older Hitsugaya you made, though the whole thing with his smiles, his ofttimes flustered-ness around Hinamori, all that good stuff, is a bit OOC. One thing I would work on is Hinamori's thoughts. I love the voice you give her, but some of her thoughts just don't sound quite right. Make sure you're careful to think "Can I hear her saying/thinking this?".

... Um, plot points? (I'm referring to your little Info Update on your profile, by the way). MULTIPLE plot points? o_O Oh my. Do you mean plot points in the entire story or just in that one chapter? Because... wow. That's called an outline, and very good planning, then.

Well, overall, I adore this story. I want to see some more HitsuHina-ness! And, obviously, we all want to know exactly what dear Hinamori went through while in captivity. (Hopefully, you already know ;))

Keep the words flowing.
