ch 1,
abuseFinally back for a while from my mad work. Alright, first things first.

Well done at least in my opinion. It is quite a long story and quite interesting to say the least. Although I don't feel the real emotion (Read "What we shall die for" around here and you'll get what I mean) BUT It is quite addictive. Read the whole thing in 6 hours and i was supposed to study xP. Thats the least I can say about the feeling of the story.

Secondly, I can see that you have extensive knowledge in Starcraft. You understand the thinking of the Protoss and I can also see that you have knowledge on micro and macro of the starcraft tournaments in the world. (when you give the three marines to fight the lurkers...Pure Gosu micro :P). You know/did quite a lot of research on other things too such as psychology (Darn jaxtor lol) and also military tactics (Leapfrogging tanks). These adds more depth into your work and I am impressed somewhat.

In addition, I also see that you have done quite a good amount of scientific thinking to say the least (The Phasing, psionic matrix and all) I have a few doubts about them but thats for me to think about more in depth for myself.

I do notice a consistency though with the psi distruptor. As written by you, the psi distruptor pushes the zerg away while distrupting control of the overmind. The second part is true but I have doubts over the former. The Zerg does not flee from the psi distruptor even though they are at close vicinity (Refer to Brood War Zerg Campaign and you will see that) Only the psionic control is lost, probably due to the psionic frequency being distorted or nullified by the psi distruptors own frequency waves. Well, another theory in my opinion.

Not only so, I have a slight feeling that the end of the story was tried to make it a happy ending kind of story with Daniel and Christopher being revived somewhat. Well...a happy endings a happy ending, you decided it so. Nothing bad if it doesnt break the finale.

Another thing, I find the final battle rather...short? Unlike the other parts where there was somewhat greater conflict in detail, the Final battle with the overmind was short with recall, recall and more recall.

Next is the conspiracy! Are we the XelNaga's creation? Very good issue to make SC readers to think about. Your points are rather elaborate and somewhat convinces SC readers that it is true (But true or not, we will find out in SC2 or SC30 LOL)

Ok, another thing I can guess here is that you began your story a long while ago before/during the announcement of Starcraft 2. With the new addition of TERRAN units only in mid way of the story, im guessing that u were at that section when Blizzard introduced the newer units. As I have not seen any new units for Zerg or Protoss (Or i just didnt notice them) This is my idea of when u started and probably finished before or just after the announcement of the other new units since new units are hard to implement at the climax and all in my opinion :P.

Alright, that wraps things up about it. I'll look forward to another story from you and I'll Return to mine in the few weeks to come...
