| Mell Yeah 2008-01-07 ch 1, | abuseI like it. Very nice. Kind of depressing at first, then it took a nice turn. The bit with Amite surprised me--I was expecting it to be Robin, when she was described as a brunette. Awesome ending. :) Mel |
| D. Lerious 2007-12-07 ch 1, | abusegreat story! loved it! |
| newgal 2007-11-19 ch 1, | abuseI always enjoy stories from you. You really have insight into Don's character. Love his thoughts on Leah and Liz and the things he has had to do. |
| pray for hope 2007-11-19 ch 1, | abusethis was really good. i love how you captured Don's thoughts and his need to be alone (internal writing, i guess) and Charlie and Amita...aww. im glad Don and Liz broke up anyway. i never really liked her. good job. |
| ALEO 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseNicely done and very believable, Don wanting to be just another Angelino out to drown his sorrows. His thoughts about Frannie and his reaction to being tempted by a pro, and his shame were very realistic. A man in his position actually giving serious consideration to going home with a pro, however nice and generous she might be. Thank god Amita and Charlie arrived when they did to save him from himself. I'm glad Don's broken it off with Liz, jealousy aside :), she was not the one for him. It just never clicked for me. |
| Sharon 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseI could easily picture Don going off somewhere dark and out of the way to numb the pain for one night. That's the loner part of his personality pushing to the forefront. I'm so glad you didn't have Don end up going with Frannie. He doesn't need that added complication in his life. Hooray for Charlie and Amita coming to find Don and for not judging him or his actions. |
| Jelsemium 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseExcellent work. This story has the feel of film noir to it, which fits very well with poor Don's state of mind at the end of In Security. Parts I particularly liked: Don's thoughts about his past relationship, the redhead at the bar giving up graciously when the woman she assumed was Don's girlfriend appeared, Don's feelings about Amita, and (of course) Charlie and Amita coming to take Don home. |
| Ditzyleo 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseJust a great tag. Loved it- poor don. |
| Elysium1996 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseV I enjoyed your fics. Nice Job. |
| Lisa Paris 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseGreat writing, as ever. Poor Don, so sad, so beaten. The seedy, down-at-heel atmosphere in the bar, echoes where he is right now, so perfectly. I'm so depressed wih what's happening to Don in the series - if ever a man deserved some happiness. Hope the writers give him a break. |
| thebondgirl 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseanother great fic down the hatch ;P -- nice work - loved it!:) |
| PoetTraveler 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseThis was a really great character study. You know, I never thought about it, but the way you connect Robin's breaking up with Don with the Buck Rogers case and what happened in Guns 'n Roses was so true. I could see that happening. Good to see Chamita taking care of Don. |
| Ms.GrahamCracker 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseWow. I want to be Frannie. I'll help him chase his demons away. And, believe me, there would be no charge, and not because he's a fed, either. Seriously, this was a great story. Very in character and in line with what is happening this season, so far. Charlie and Amita finding him and taking him home was just... aw. This is another winner for you. Good storyline, well written and perfect presentation. Thank you for sharing this deep dark look into our favorite FBI agents inner demons. |
| Magister Equitum 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseExcellent work with his demons and thoughts. The rehash of all the past loves was great. Frannie was a nice thought, even with who she was. And the ending of family is truly what matters. Nice job. |
| joosje 2007-11-18 ch 1, | abuseBeautiful piece of writing. I loved it like all your other stories |
