I don't know why I haven't reviewed this before. OH I KNOW WHY - because I suck.

That being said, YES - this was terribly romantic. One of the things I like most about Hiei/Kurama - and one of the things that shows their connection the most - is how they fight. And that kind of connection can be visceral and brutal and sensual and romantic all at the same time - which you managed to capture perfectly in this ficlet.

"It’s why violence is the soul of a demon, the only possible response to immortality"

Both those lines were beautiful. And I loved how you contrasted them and connected them.

God...that's gorgeous...I am so jealous! I thought you'd be a good writer, but you're a great writer! Just a warning, you'll probably be getting quite a few reviews from me in the near future. I'll try to keep them minimal. It's just that when I find an author whose style I like, I tend to read most of their stuff and try to leave at least one review per story. Hope that's ok.

Wel... I do think this can fall under the category of romance, but it seems... Gothic. Angst-y? Not exactly sugar and fluff romance, this focuses on the dark side of one's self. Something like that. :)

Nonsense. If you get the urge and go with it, it doesn't make the need to have your head examined. Nothing worng with romance. It was lovely, and you do an excellent job at it! More the merrier if you get another idea for it. ;D

wow, i'm glad you wrote this. it was short, but so cute and excellent. the contradicting and the words were really magnificent here. so cool!! the ending was comforting and again, cute!!
