Wow... seriously, just wow. My only regret is that I never found this amazing story sooner, but at least I had the chance to spend my whole morning reading this from start to finish. You use Marik's insanity in such a way that you just can't help bu t dwell on all that is in the world. The beginning made it seem like it would be just a Malik fic with the others stories sort of put in, but really you made this everyone's story, and it was just absolutely wonderful. I am disappointed that I don't know what becomes of the Pharoah. He had been added a few times. Will there be peace or alliances... if not surely new beginning for all those who were affected. Or perhaps you don't wish to make a sequel and have decided to leave it up to the readers imagination.

You totally deserve this review. Rarely does a fanfic actually bring me to tears but this one was so brilliantly written, and the emotions so perfectly described that I actually sat behind my laptop with tear filled eyes. I'm not a huge fan of not so happy ending fics, but this one shouldn't have been any other way. I could go on for hours telling you exactly what scenes I adored and what scenes I didn't but I think I'll stop here. I'm faving this and please do keep up the amazing writing!

...wow...thats all i can say...i started to read this earlier and haven't stopped once...this was an amazing story. how did you do it? i truely love this story. the beginning was wonderful, the middle was great, i loved all the plot twist, and the ending...wow...you did an excellent job..

... But, yeah. Excellent ending. Good wrap up - I really shouldn't have expected too happy of an ending, so I was still hit quite hard by it. On the bright side, when Touzouko dies a miserable diseased death he won't FEEL alone (and desert rain! Desert rain!).

... Very, very sad. Very good. But very sad.

MAN, I loved this story. So sad it's over... The characterizations were superb and compelling, and the language was very good-- suitably dry and sarcastic for the characters you portrayed, but rich in detail.

Plus, it was hawt. :D

This story was definitely awesome, and yes, I agree whole-heartedly their ends were most fitting. Strangely, even though I felt that Ryou didn't really play that big of a part in the whole story, that second-to-last section was very powerful.

And even though it can easily come across as a totally overused line, "Rou, lord of Baranis" hit a very powerful chord within me. It made everything that much more permanent (which worked so well with the atheist them, and... ah, I keep going and going).

There are two little tiny things that I noticed. Uh, one is really stupid... Just the chapter title was off, and it took away a bit from the continuity (I may or may not have been reading it all in one go… Heh). The other thing is something I have a feeling you’re going to resolve in the epilogue, whenever you choose to do it… So I’m wondering whether to even mention it. I have a feeling Touzouko being so obviously absent at the end was very much on purpose, and I’ve grown to love yours very much.

Also! Kudos to your amazing Mariku – your Bakura as well, but I think your Mariku had a special place in my part (with Touzouko, of course). I have this strange craving for Misanthro, Psycho and Sickleshipping now, and I am very happily going to place the blame squarely on your shoulders. :)

Wow. I lost for words. Their death scene was just too- I- I can't think of how to describe it. Beautiful in one way, painful in another.

...Wonderful. I'm glad to have been here, for this fic, from beginning to end. It was truly wonderful. The way you interwove your characters together, accompanied with your writing ability and illuminating imagery... Just wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better ending, even how sad it was.

Oh my gosh, this story has been so amazing and great and I can't believe that, except for an epilogue, it's finally over! I personally thought that you did a very good job with Mariku and Bakura's deaths. It was very fitting for them both. But I'll be really sad if Touzouko is dead too. So yeah...I can't wait for the epilogue, and awesome job!
