I mean, I'm certainly not an expert on relationships (believe me...) but wouldn't there have to be a little build up? Or is it because he comforted her when she needed it? Anyway, great story! I loved it!

Humiliated or not Snape still shouldn't have called her what he did. That is not what a friend would have done. Anyway...back to the story. I am in love with the James in your fic...especially at the part where he just walks away from an entranced Lily and says the "life's weird like that" line...cute. Great job, I love how you described Lily's reaction to the kiss. Beautiful!
