I really enjoyed reading this story, it's such a shame that you haven't completed it.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that you find the time and the inclination to write more of this tale- I'd love to see how it plays out.

Good chapter, but didn't explain the cliffie from the previous one. Still very good--shows that Freak is healing, though with occasional (and reasonable) setbacks). I still say Severus is better off here than at Hogwarts.

I went back to read chapter 6, but this chapter really had nothing to do with where ch 6 left off. It seemed a bit odd...

Well, Harry is taking very small baby steps here, but it's going o be a long slog to get him up to where he'll need to be for school, unless there's some mind magic Severus can use to help him out.

glad to see another chapter. This is rather jumpy. Where is Snape now? Has he left the sickroom and is walking outside? Is he paying a visit or has paid a visit to the Dursleys? Has it been hours or less since the burnt child was discovered.

I suppose I should say how much I love the smell of Evil Cliffie in the morning, but right now I'm just annoyed and want the next chapter--it's just too good!

This is very interesting and unusual.

Just nitpicking, since it's AU anyway, but in canon Harry's cupboard was big enough to hold a bed (we know he had a bed, not a matress on the floor, because he lost his socks in the space under it), and Vernon was able to get inside it reasonably comfortably, with the bed and Harry, although he had to duck to get through the door.

The size of an understair cupboard depends on the layout of the house. The understair cupboard in my not-very-big Scottish cottage is twelve foot long by more than four foot wide, and is ten foot high for most of its length. It would make a proper (if small) bedroom apart from being windowless.
