When you write a work of fiction you should do so not to garner praise from others but because you feel inspired to do so. The amount of reviews you receive should be a moot point. Begging for reviews in exchange for another chapter speaks of one's desperate need for validation. I dare hope you will also refrain from this practice in the future.
