Rock on! This was gorgeous, as always! *U* Loved the transitions from before to after, and the interactions, emotions, as always, were BRILLIANT! *U* *U* Rock on! Can't wait for the next one!
wow that was amazing. I can't believe this doesn't have more reviews! I really did love this. I am going to have a look at some more of your stuff
Tinnie 11/26/07 . chapter 3
Yep, Charlie, you should've known Wanda was Willy Wonka's sister! All right, only joking. It's so much easier to figure things out when you're an objective reader than when you're an involved character in the story ;-)
Wonderful third chapter, Yva. I really liked it, very simple and yet in depth. Charlie's unselfish nature did come out very well here, but also his former feeling of being sorry for himself, that could make him forget sometimes, lke he said himself ;-)
His interaction with Wanda was really good too, as it seemed to perfectly mirror his conversation with Will in the second chapter. Both interactions seemed to add something to the other.
This was a great story.I'm left wanting to read more about Wanda, who is a wonderful character by the way, and Charlie's life after he moves into the factory.
This was a very relaxing read for me. Someimes I start to read a story & while the story itself is good there are so many errors in it, spelling, grammar or misplaced or extra words, that I can't get lost in the story. I didn't have that problem here, while I did notice a few such problems, it wan't enough to interrupt the flow of it for me. I want to Thank You very much for making the last few days a little less hectic for me, even if it was just for a few minutes! Thanks!
Tinnie 11/22/07 . chapter 2
Wanda sounded so much like an elaborated character already that I thought she must either be very familiar to you or be a character you especially like to write :-)
Willy's wisdom is as always amazing. Wonderful point of view on thanksfulness and gratitude here.
"“Then be a little arrogant,” Willy said with a smirk."
That's wonderful. So Willy Wonka. Hiw depth of knowledge, both learned and felt, is a treasure for those about him. Love the way you write him, it's very interesting.
Oh my, then Willy has a sister? Hopefully we'll meet her ;-)
Another good chapter. Thanks! I'm taking a break from cooking to check my email & found an alert on this chapter, so of course I had to read it.I agree with Charlie, although for different reasons, I'd rather write a book report than an essay too. That's why You're the writer and I'm the reader. And reviewer. Even though I know I'm not a very helpful reviewer since all I can say is " I like it". I did start to read some of your other stories late last night while waiting on my PUMPKIN PIE to bake. We'll have pumpkin cheesecake too. So I'll think of you while I eat a piece of each later today! I'll be waiting for the next chapter, meanwhile if I have the chance for another break today I'll Check out some more of your stories. When I find a new story I tend to read all posted chapters at once so it will have to be one with only 1 or 2 chapters.
Tinnie 11/21/07 . chapter 1
Hello Yva,
I honestly wouldn't embark on another multi-chaptered story, not because I don't like what you write :-) but because I'm already quite taken with "In Another's Eyes", and wouldn't be able to take the necessary time to read and review each story as it deserves to be. But a three-chaptered story, I thought, oh well, I won't miss that one, and boy, am I glad I didn't ;-)
Is Wanda a character you've already used in another story of yours? Because she already sounds like a pretty three-dimensional character...oh, and I seem to have a weird idea of who she might be! And she's a very nice character, anyway...loved your descriptions of her.
The choice that was given - an essay on thanksfulness or a book report on Dickens, was very clever, as there is something rather Dickensian about Charlie's life. That he had rather write about Dickens than his own life seems somewhat ironical given the similarities between the two. That point really highlights what is missing from Charlie's life.
But Charlie's answer to Wanda also seems to highlight the depth of the boy, and his analysis of his own life in temrs that are not quite those of an ordinary child and yet may sound childlike. Like a dash of innocence in the midst of a situation that had him burdened with worries that won't let him be innocent.
Oh well, I do hope what I just said made some sense, it seems very confused, all of a sudden!
But anyway...I really liked this chapter, and am looking forward to the next :-)

Hehehe! This sounds like another very interesting idea! Wanda...who could she be? ;)
This is starting out good. I like the Gene Wilder version of Willy Wonka better than the Johnny Depp version also. I'm going to be checking out your other stories during my long Holiday weekend.
