This was a great story, and my favorite chapter too.
I like to think that it's God talking to Max. My reasons for thinking this is that the Voice is capitalized, he says that he loves Max more than anyone else, he guides her to all the places she needs to go and provides for her, (i.e. The Institute and the Card)and that he doesn't tell her straight out what she needs-excuse me-wants to know. God only gives us what we can handle when we can handle it, and if you notice in the Bible he asks a lot of rhetorical questions. Also the bit about doing the right thing and not being right-also in the form of a question.
Keep up the good work!

I think Fang and Max would be the cutest couple! Too bad I havent read the 2nd or the third yet! I need IT! Fang and Iggy, in my head, are so cute! I love them! So I'm... um insane!

Love it! Can't wait to read the "2 years later" part! Plus, I like the idea on Fang's power.

I think i'll give fang a power sometime. Can't Nudge kinda see the things in the past? But that's only when she touches things and can only see what happened with that thing.

aw... thats cute. fang is so my favorite character in the book and its kinda cool that he can talk to god like that. i like the whole "i am the past" thing too.. thats kinda cool

"Um, yes sir..." -cracks up laughing- I was trying to get in the mood, all spiritually and solemn, and then you pull that line. Give me a second to find my sanity; I think I'll find it in my jar of marbles. (I don't blame you if it takes you a moment to get that; I didn't even understand it until AFTER I wrote it. Which is right now. Weird.) This was really good; and I think very original. In fact, I don't ever remember reading a 'What was going on in Fang's mind at the church' fic before this. And that power is really cool; kudos on being the first (we think) to use it.
