kasplosion 2008-07-23 . chapter 1one word: beautiful. ^o^ Katara and Toph are written spot on and the descriptions are great. I 'specially like the Water Tribe Legend. Did you make that up yourself? It's nice. :D |
BrittMarie 2008-04-12 . chapter 1Toph should ask what purple is and then kiss Aang and figure it out herself, eh?
*lol*
I thought I'd review, cause reviews = love!
Hope you can update soon! |
Orientalis Draco 2007-11-21 . chapter 1Rehashing from another fanfic? ;D
I can't complain about it. The concept of blindness has been a past interest of mine, and reading what authors write about blindness, especially when one of their own characters is blind, makes the subject all the more interesting. Anyways, I liked how you used emotions and physical objects in connection with the colors; it definitely creates a more tangible feeling for colors, especially, I imagine, in Toph's case. |
ArielFan4ever 2007-11-21 . chapter 1Hey there! Lauren here. I hope you're doing well. I just readutiful! I read your Avatar story about Katara showing Toph what colors were. It was beautiful! I really enjoyed it a lot!
I, like Toph, am also visually impaired. But I don't let it get me down. i view it as a blessing. I see with my heart and it's the best source of sight God could have given me.
If youwould like to talk to me on MSN Messenger, you can find my sn for it at my profile here. I would really like it if you read some of my Avatar stories.
Remember, God loves you!

Lee Pyro 2007-11-21 . chapter 1Ach, I know how much we authors love/need reviews and I think this is deserving of one, so here we go.
I loved this. You did a wonderful job describing colors in a way that a blind child would understand. Using feeling and emotion to describe them. I think you nailed both Toph and Katara's characters beautifully. You're right Toph is one of the most dynamic characters in A:TLA, and you portrayed that very well. This is a lovely fic, without the usual ship-bashing that, sadly, usually accompanies an A:TLA story. Lovely story. Keep writing. |
