Sophia 2007-12-24 ch 5, anon.	abuseAw. Just...aw. That is so cute. You just made my Christmas :D Although, I was somewhat confused about the details of the battle. Liu Bei mentioned that Zhao Yun made an error in judgment, but Jiang Wei says /he/ sent Zhao Yun to the camp. Wouldn't that be Jiang Wei's error in judgment...? Meh. Silly little details aside, I love the characterization and how Zhao Yun beats himself up over a wounded arm. It's an overreaction, but it seems appropriate, given the deepening of his feelings for Jiang Wei. I especially liked the last few lines, what with the reappearance of the sunflower and the hug (I could totally see the whole scene in my head, but that might just be because I'm a shameless fangirl). I want more, now.

Many other stories plunge straight into the dreaded L-word without any development, so it's a wonderful change to see such in-depth characterization, especially when it's done so well. Their interactions are fluid and believable, and I like the continual theme of 'first -' and the flower symbolism. It...doesn't hurt that this is my OTP, either cough I will be waiting eagerly for the next chapter.
