poor Stormblade. i feel so bad for him. he's been through so much. he needs a true friend. Shadowdart is a dictator and way too controlling.

This chapter is very nicely done, everything that's been building up comes down to the bursting point here.

Stormblade really does have the heart to do more than he imagined he could do, despite how indecisive he was earlier and easily swayed by others. Though he did need some motivation from Nightmare.
Perhaps it's because he's always been the one who's been more open-minded. It's ironic that Stormblade, the one who didn't want to have to deal with these sorts of things, making the difference. And ends up with Razor's old crush by his side.

If there's a major thing that's shown here, it's how corrupting having so much power is. Especially for someone in Shadowdart's kind of mindset.

The fact that his resolve gets shaken several times, even though he's mentally trying to convince himself otherwise, is quite proof of this. Perhaps we don't know enough about the old leader to compare, but Shadowdart may actually be turning out like him, though in different ways.

And there's the thing that he's managed to drive Stormblade away yet again. I can only imagine what's going on in the latter's mind right now...

If there's one thing Razor's brief return did, it's brought the friendship of the two back together. I suppose that if you give them the same thing to hate, enemies can become friends.
But if Razor's views on them hold true, it's yet to be seen.

Besides that, there's a lot of interesting philosophy behind this whole thing, certainly befitting that of a highly intelligent predator.

Stormblade must feel very hurt seeing Razor, the one he looked up to, change this much. Razor was one of his reasons for him not killing himself and deciding to live on. Seems like confusion hits his conscience again, just when he thought he had gotten everything together.

Stormblade really takes an emotional swing. It definitely looks like Pearl was his emotional pillar, so to speak. He seemed to gain a lot of confidence being around her, only to lose it completely upon her death.
But in the end, he's still somewhat changed from his experience, despite having to drag himself back to Shadowdart...

That's an interesting 'fable' of sorts done at the top. It seems more like a Scyther kind of fable to keep their swarm intact.

From what I see, Shadowdart somewhat needs Stormblade to vent his defeat on, and also to preach on his views. Which is possibly because he knows Stormblade will listen. Other than that, it looks like he's simply hanging around Stormblade when it's beneficial to him.
Stormblade seems disillusioned, yet torn between his 'friend' and his newfound interest.

I'm keen to see how it turns out...

I feel this one is well done. Both showing the effects of Razor leaving on his two former companions, but also how some of them can drastically change.

Shadowdart seems to be particularly bitter and it's caused him to completely flip around in personality, from what I remember. It's quite a realistic reaction to the kind of treatment he's gone through.
But Stormblade's thoughts explain in very well too. Seems like the lack on companionship is greatly affecting him.

Shadowdart is turning out already as to how he appears in the main story, but perhaps not yet so for Stormblade.
