Ever since I stumbled upon your collection of shorts, and I read this one specifically, I've been thinking about it a lot. It's not often our boys face the apocalypse and I wish you'd continue this, but I'm glad you haven't. It's such a burdensome concept - the end of everything - that it would probably overwhelm any potential romance between Merton and Tommy. It's just fitting that it's truncated into just a few, beautiful lines. Nicely done. love:bee. |
