*is silenced by the beauty of the whole story* Wow. This had to be the best oneshot I have read in a really good while. Amazing. I especially liked the last line, the one where is says "(up they go up in a pillar of smoke)"

BAD ASS. It moved along rather I thought it would, since of course, if kept canon their love is doomed to tragedy. Your voice was fresh, but I was going to just see it as a piece of quality writing but nothing totally OMG LOOK, until the last line, or second to last line if you will, with the dousing in gasoline. That was what made it bad ass, I can't recall ever seeing something like this ending with Axel actually literally onfucking FIRE. I LOVE IT. And the last line was suitably poetic of course.
