Hey, long time no see! I can't believe this is the last chapter. I was seriously about to jot down "Update Soon!" Until I saw the THE END notice. Anyhow, I love how you conveyed Reed's mother's thoughts towards her son and husband. Excellently written.

I guess the other aspects of the Autism Spectrum (such as Asperger's Syndrome, which I have) weren't known in the '60s? (That's not a complaint on you as a writer, btw.)

I've never heard of a case where a human starts out having blue eyes, only to develop brown eyes at an older age. Eye-color changes is true of cats, but I dunno if it's true of humans.

Side Note: awhile back, I got involved in a rpg where the other people portrayed Marvel superheroes and time-traveling offspring. When I asked if Reed had Asperger's, the FF hated me. I doubt any of the rpgers knew what I was talking about though.

Reed is my most fav superhero character. I do actually relate to him because he's "different" like me. I have Aspergers, and this story really reinforces my belief in him.

This is amazing!! I've never thought to look for this kind of story, but I'm glad I found it. The sort of everywhere style that you have, with the bold dialogue is wonderful, and really works well for this.

Awesome chapter! Dude, your author's notes are like a book of knowledge and stuff. But that aside, I enjoyed this chapter. To Evelyn's observation on the Richards' family hair patterns, to Reed's whole scentence, I was hooked.

Hey, this isn't a bad story. Not at all. At first, I wasn't sure how I was going to react to the story, especially given Baby-Reed's "contition" and all (my brain tends to get ahead of itself whenever it comes across a word with a major meaing behind it, if you get my meanin'), but this turned out to be an interesting read. I don't know much about Evelyn Richards (hell, I didn't even known the names of Reed's parents until now. Are they from ULTIMATE or Normal MARVEL universe? Been awhile since I read anything F4 Related), but I liked how you portrayed Reed's mother and her innermost thoughts, especially when dealing with her son. The second chapter was especially fun to read (especially when it gets to the part where Reed assults the piano because Evelyn's student wasn't getting the song right. LOL).

Your Author's notes are especially informative, if not just interesting to read, but the last one confused the mucho grande out of me. Aside from understanding that Mark Millar would be taking over UF4, this new (or old) love interest of Reed's is going to be Alyssa Moy, or some unknown woman based on said character, (and she's a teacher? WTF?)?

I couldn't figure out whether or not you were talking about the MARVEL or ULTIMATE MARVEL Universe when you went deeper into the MoyxReed/Sue complex.

And the details of this "Crucible" storyline confused me even more, but since I only read Ultimate Fantastic Four in TPB and not the monthly comic, I suppose that's understandable on my part.


All in all, I'm enjoying this story.

Incredible stuff. I'm one of the people that thinks Reed is not autistic, but something completely different, as said in Fantastic Four 1234, he has senses and perceptions no one else can fathom. That's got to be a pretty lonely life, to never be able to translate what you experience to anyone else.
