This was amazing! I especially liked it because-I don't know you realized this while you were writing-but during SC, doesn't Eustace remark that Jill has no sense of direction? Or something like that, about not being able to read a map? Anyhoo, this was delightful :)

I've possibly reveiwed this story ages ago when you first put it up, but I just wanted to say again that it's AMAZING :D seriously, serously, good. Any chance of doing any more Jill/Eustace stories? You got the characters perfectly, and it wasn't too cheesy or "oh hi let's be boyfriend/girlfriend" or anything random :D

Damn, that's all I can say. Probably one of the best Eustace/Jill one-shots I've read, just because it adds so much to their relationship. And because, for something that goes only so far as hand-holding, it's pretty steamy - and that's some talent.

I also absolutely loved your characterization of Eustace. It's so spot on, I was smiling the entire time.

Ah, this is brilliant. I love Eustance's nervousness, it seems so sweet and endearing.

The only thing I have to say that bothered me were the slashes at the beginning and end of Eustance's thoughts. I don't know if those were done deliberately or accidentally, but they annoyed me a bit. Of course, it's the quality of the writing that matters and not the little errors.

Again, wonderfully written. I enjoyed reading every word. I hope you'll write more Eustance/Jill in the future!

Love Finds Eustace Scrubbs... or sort of. This really is wonderful; you have his voice down. I love the little mentions of things that make it so ...Eustace. Tracing the journey of the Dawn Treader, talking about the vertigo of dragon flight, all the facts he knows because he "reads those sort of books."

I'm kicking myself -hard- at the moment for not reviewing this earlier. I read it a few weeks ago, enjoyed it, clicked the review button and - got side-tracked. Like I said, I enjoyed it - a lot. The chemistry between Eustace and Jill is wonderfully sweet, without being too over the top. Love it. Congratulations, also, on such an original plot line. To be able to spin a story out of a single line in a song is very commendable. This is, in my humble opinion, a beautiful story, beautifully written.

I read this a few months ago and came back today to search for it. I loved it so much it was logged in my memory. My favorite part perhaps is when Jill stops and Eustace says, "go on, for heaven's sake!" That's cute :]

This is absolutely gorgeous. It's so slow and teasing, in the best way possible. Eustace and Jill are in character enough for this to be believable, but different enough to be exciting. It's the perfect length too, and it didn't even matter that they didn't kiss (something that usually annoys me about a fic!) - it's amazing as it is. It shows some imagination, talent and a lovely way with words - gorgeous work!
