I feel your pain. I bought an external hard drive and a few days later my desktop crashed. Luckily I had transferred everything of import over but if I had not...yikes!

That majorly sucks. Oh, man, I'm so sorry about that. Don't pressure yourself to write, okay? Write when you can. If anyone's being pushy about it, then just tell them to back off. It's your story. Your decisions.

'S okay. At least you had the decency to tell the readers what happened. Meanwhile, I'm just too lazy to write anything any more and I haven't told MY readers yet. O.O

Aw... i feel so bad for you... partly because that's happened to me twice, already... and with two different computers... and partly because... well... its the right thing to do...

But I never really got soo freaking upset about it that I mourned it really, because I've learned... I'll put anything I feel is worth keeping online, so if I ever do lose anything, I can get it off of there...

I couldn't do that with my first computer, cuz the screen died, and I couldn't see a thing, which means I lost mostly everything I ever wrote between Christmas of '05 to September of last year...

That was a Toshiba laptop. I then, for Christmas, got a HP... that didn't last long... (Last Christmas to about three weeks ago)... I now, finally, have a Black MacBook... which I absolutely adore... hopefully, it'll last me until I'm in my Sophomore year... of college... four years away...

Sweetie, I know how you feel. My computer died when it got a virus, I lost a lot of my writing. Thankfully, I got to save some stuff.

good luck! i know how tough it can be to lose everything - i lost all my original stories, poetry, and homework a week before finals and right as i was about to send in my application to a writer's workshop (which, as luck would have it, required a portolio of work). i plain ignored my computer for about a month, other than to type. and the kicker? i had just fixed my itunes and downloaded a gazillion dollars worth of songs, only to have them be completely gone teh next day. lovely. (as you can see, i'm still quite bitter about it)

hopefully you recover faster than i! i can't wait to read more once you get back on your feet. jsut think of the writing you did as a rough draft... and try not to pull your hair out going insane!
