That was really good, you really got into his head and it fits in well witht he series. I always thought her blank wide-eyed stare meant more.

Very well done, interesting story. I like that you have this from Cain's point of view and he's in character, not saying things that are too fluffy or random. I like especially that the story is entirely plausible, with Cain looking for someone's "tells". And, I really liked that you gave a valid reason behind the all too constant blank look that Zooey tended to adopt. Great job!

That was great! I can totally picture Cain thinking of all that! I love the ending!! If the writers would have put your ending at the end of their show, it would have been perfect!! I feel like they totally rushed the end of "Tin Man". It's like they realized that their 6 hours was almost up and they had to cut it short! You ending scene would have taken less than a minute! And it's perfect! DG&Cain4ever!! I loved it! Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!

I don't know why I didn't review for this the first time I saw it, so I'm correcting that. This is one of the few oneshots inthis fandom that still makes me squeal. And it is so well thought out, flows nicely and is so elequant in its simplicity. I love how you capture each of the moments of Cain figuring DG out in such a very characteristic way. And you kept him in character all the way.

Wonderful job, I am definitely favoriting this as one of the best examples of great Tin Man fic. Bravo

It did not occur to me until, like, yesterday that there would be a Tin Man fandom. Don't know why. Saw a crossover and the light went on. So I started looking around to see what the offerings were and this is the first one that I liked enough to review. (I don't have the heart to review stuff I think stinks. I know, bad reader!) Put me squarely in the DGxCain camp, I totally agree there was subtext there. I like how you did it subtly, though. I mean, he did lay one on her, but not until the end, and with no big dramatic declarations or whatever. I like the theme of the tells and how he goes through a process of learning to read her. And I think you got his voice down, too. He's a man of action, not a whiny poet-boy (not referring to any specific fic, just fanfic in general :) ).
Anyway, good job. Really liked it.

That was one of the best Tin Man fics I've ever read. Beautifully done. You've got the characters perfectly. Love it, really loved it.

Your characterization, and portrayal of the level on which Cain/DG connect make your fic realistic, and thankfully not too fluffy.
