Do you often write parody chapters? Seriously, I've been reading this whole story from the beginning in one go and was so ABSORBED that when I finally realised that the conversation between Riza and Hughes was a parody, I totally felt like I was derailed. No joke. But it was pretty amusing :D

Anyway, I really hope you're serious about updating this story regularly from now on, because this is one hell of an amazing fic you've concocted! To be truthful, I've never thought about Parental!RoyEd, but you and your superb writing and this fic have certainly converted me! I love it! So much.

Your characterizations are great, by the way. You keep Roy pretty much IC but I love the way you show that, inside, he really does care. As for Ed, I really feel for him. I miss seeing his fighting, spunky side, but the insulting banter he maintains with Mustang is entertaining and credible. And poor guy, his eyesight!! I hope his eyes get better on eventually.

I love the storyline too. I'm really interested in why those thugs want to capture (kill?) Mustang and this "winter of 1903" mystery (even if it is just a cheap ploy to keep your readers reading. It certainly works for me lol :D)

Maybe I'm so used to always seeing Al with Ed, but I'm really missing that hunk of metal. I love the little scenes of him that you put in, and I hope he and the rest of Mustang's unit catch up with Ed and Roy soon. :D

Anyway, awesome story! You've got me hooked, and here's to hoping that you'll update this fic soon with a chapter that's not a parody ;)
