Uchihas...they know how to be surprisingly caring when you least expect it. Itachi and Fugaku, in their last moments proved to me that while Uchiha has great capacity for hatred they also love as deeply if not more. Here Sasuke demonstrated it so well that it tugged my heart strings. His words were memorable and breathtakingly endearing that its painful. It almost made his detached connection with his loving wife worth it if he lives. Because I know he'll do it right this time. He can finally allow himself to be happy. Sakura would make sure of it.

There is just something sad about Sasuke. I didn't realize it before Road to Ninja and seeing his younger self. RTN!Sasuke was clearly happy in his flirtatious ways and the young Sasuke was always beaming with such happiness and life. Ignore his arrogant bratty attitude, all that is left is a broken boy turned into a tragic man. In this, you managed to let us see his vulnerable side without being melodramatic about it. His relationship with Sakura might not be ideal but that is only because Sasuke took it to himself to distance himself from his wife. Ohh, he's still a jerk of course. A selfish, lonely jerk.

Thankgod I read it nearly four years later then XD(to your author's note saying you finished it after three years). But three years was worth it and it shows in the story; its perfect and I love it. These days (prolly cuz im going through piles and piles of fics to find quality ones, I seem to have gotten a few with Sasuke's characterization so good I love it. And your fic is one of them.
