As for this one,this one is one of my favourites, after 'Special' Its probably because they both assume a similar sort of Scott (i think anyway)

Damn... I haven't picked up the ULT-X cover yet so I have no idea what's going on, but your story is awesome and very powerful. Scott has always been one of my fave X-MEN characters before I left the fandom. But your portrayal of him... MAN! I couldn't take my eyes off your story until I finished reading. I definitely would love to read more of your Ult Scott & Jean stuff.

A magnificent piece... in fact, I've read all your ultimate x-men material, and it all kicks ass. I think I'll go read it again, just for fun.

Wow. This is really powerful. You go straight for the issues most people skirt around, no quarter given. Scott and Jean always have some kink in their relationship, usually a rather large one named Wolverine. This gives an honest depiction of the three, no cliches entertained.

I didn't read much past the Weapon-x storyline in Ultimate X-men, something about Jean and Wolverine just irritated the hell out of me.

Your story made Jean much realer than I found her in Ult-X, and much less irritating, or at least understandable to me if not likable.

As for Scott, you're one of the best writers for him I've ever read, and I go back to the 60's in my love of the character.

Using his runaway streetkid background so fully shows just why he's become a tightly controlled man with dangerous undercurrents for the clumsy and ignorant to stumble into.

I liked how you showed that even the unconsciously arrogant telepaths get surprised at what really lurks in peoples minds.

Both Jean and Xavier often seem like tourists to me, thinking that because they've seen a glimpse of something in someones mind they understand it.

Please forgive me. Three reviews in one day... okay so I'm bored... and I sought out most of your Ultimate X-Men fics. But this one was angtsy, and deeply emotional. Much like your humorous stories, this one was done in a fabulous manner as well. I have one question: Being I haven't collect all of the Ultimate X-Men comics (I started on Ult. X #8), did Jean Grey really smoke in the beginning or is that your own personal addition? It's not like you'll e-mail me, but I'm just curious... must research.

Damn, damn, how are you so GOOD with these characters? You have Scooter and Jean absolutely PERFECT, and I think his fear of being controlled was right on the mark.

(I never put it past Xavier to do something like that, either. During his conversation with Scott, it wouldn't be any stretch of the imagination if you were to picture me repeating, "I knew it! I knew it!" over and over.)

You're a phenomenal writer, Min. This story, along with "Of Teletubbies and Mutants..." are among some of the best X-Fics I've ever read, and I'm posting this one on my Favorites List right away.
