Sniff! Beautiful story. Nice work!
Shrike176 8/30/10 . chapter 2
The first time I read this fic I didn't particularly like it. Now that I've had a personal tragedy (see Zaratan's kim possible discussion board) I think I understand it better. I suppose the best any of us can hope for in the end is a family that loves us. I suppose it is a good thing to know you've accomplished as much as Ron has in the end, we should all be so lucky. I truly wish I had as much faith as Kim did right now, and I hope that some day soon, with enough work I will.

Given that I haven't seen a story from you in a while, and as I recall you have completed all of your previous stories, I have no idea if you have decided you have no more stories to write, but I am thankful for this story right now.

Not sure if I expect a response or not right now, but I would like one. Hope this review made sense, if not please write it off as grief.

Just as good as the last chapter.

Good fic. Never before, has a fan-fic made me cry. So for making me cry, I thank you.

I tried to say in my last review that I’ll be one hundred eleven years old in 2063-but it got lost in the text transfer.

The action scenes are okay-and the banter betwen Kim and Shego-and Shego’s sentimental streak for Kim-but what sold the chpt for me were several things.

The pathos of Shego’s infertility and her silent heartbreak. Even though she couldn’t bail on her brothers fast enough, she yearned for a family of her own-and it was denied.

And-strange to say it-Phin’s gallantry-despite his being as big a scofflaw as her, he stood by her. Someone noted in their review that Shego and Phin unfortunately did not share the oneness that Kim and Ron did. I must disagree. I think it was-is-implicit that their bond is just as profound and intense as Kim’s and Ron’s. It is simply couched in different terms. They have their own language-their own common ground-albeit larcenous-and their own mutual undrestanding.

And most of all-the presence and influence of Ron Stoppable-again, not obvious-but implicit-in the molding of Ann-in her commitment to her faith-in her devotion to missions-in her choice of a life-mate.

Do I ovetrstate it when I say that I think the final scene where Kim holds silent communion with Ron is sublime? I don’t think so. Christmas is symbolic of hearts bound together-with a strength that outlasts death.

Well done, MrDrP

2063-I’ll be 1.

Stamps-doubtless taken from the extras of the ASIT DVD. Myself-if ever I was inclined to argue with a canon source it would be over that. Not that I’m particularly dogmatic about it.

Hm. A female rabbi. I astonished myself to discover just how fixed my opinions are. Understand-I’m a devout interdenominational evangelical in my outlook-there’re no folk more casual in their approach to ecclesiastic tradition-but I find myself thinking of Judaism in terms of Orthodox-or conservative-but what the hey. It’s just me.

Lest I condemn you with faint praise-it is a profound thing to behold a couple who have been together for an entire lifetime. They think and act as one. There is an air of serenity about them. To be in their presence is to sense the enormity of the oneness. And it is also quite true that at the death of one, the other will rapidly fail-and you portrayed it, my brother.

So many fic’s deal with the early difficulties they have regarding their scholastic differences , and their personality differences-so does the series, to a degree. But the underneath is the essential oneness-that they already had as mission partners.

OMG, I am so crying right now! You really know how to make someone get choked up and take a ride on the emotional rollercoaster! I couldn’t even imagine having the conversation that Ron and Kim had with my fiancée. It would just be too much! It was just so heart wrenching watching Kim fade away! I had hoped the part were Shego kidnapped Ann was just a ruse to make things look more real and I was happy to see that my hopes were answered, I knew Shego, didn’t have it in her to really hurt Kim when she was feeling her lowest. It was nice to see that she wanted to help Kim realize that she still had things to live for. See once again I like the fact that you show Shego isn’t so terrible. I kinda felt sorry for Shego too after finding out that even though she and Phin were happy together, it wasn’t as happy as it could have been, because they weren’t able to have the family that they wanted. Then on top of all that sadness that last scene at the grave was just bittersweet and the tears just kept coming. Kim kept her promise to Ron, but she still missed her BFH!

Anyways great story, the few happy bits in this story really balance the sad parts! As much as I love the story that keeps you smiling, I truly love a story where you get to cry and smile, and even though there was so much sadness in this story, it truly did have a happy ending! Great Job!

P.S. I have to ask, this is the second story were you mention Kim saving Shego’s wedding, are we going to see what happened the day Shego and Phin got married; and on another note, what about Kim and Ron’s wedding? I bet you would do a great job with both of these!

A great story. Why do I find it so easy to picture an aged Kim and Shego doing a half-hearted battle, and neither one meaning more than a glancing blow?
Desslock3 2/17/08 . chapter 2
A very sad and very heart warming story at the same time. It was nice to see a little bit of Kim and Ron's family and to watch as they tried to get in to the old family biz. All in all another great fic from you. Now not to try to read to much between the lines, but by depicting Ron's death are you doing that as a way to sort of close out your Epic Sitch story line and focus instead on your post season four story line? Lets hope not, I think there is room in most readers hearts (well I know there is in mine at least) for both storylines.

A bittersweet and lovely christmas special in the sprit of the show.
Joe Stoppinghem 12/30/07 . chapter 2
Nice two chapter, very touching Christmas Eve scene.

So far all of the stories I have been reading for the December contest are very good. It will be a tough decision in making the vote.

Also, I has hoping that Shego was didn't mean it when she had Ann as bait. As always enjoy seeing you post another story.

Thanks

Ah how bittersweet it is.

I was saddened by Shego's revelation but she was spot on and hilarious throughout both chapters.

Princess Junior is genius by the way

Kim's graveside chat with Ron was tugging at my heartstrings.

That was great it was like a Christmas special I could easily see on the show.
yvj 12/23/07 . chapter 1
Sigh it's always hard to see Ron go. However I can see him going out like this, it was very touching.

As always the dialog is excellent especially for Shego who was the highlight of the chapter for me. “I didn’t say that was a compliment,” Shego gibed." That was hilarious

Ann is great the will of her grandmother and the heart of her grandfather.

So ok I guess you could say I enjoyed the chapter.

P.S

"Or something to live for, Ann thought"

Lol this sounds familiar especially in context with Ron passing. Though I much prefer this version of Ron's departure.

Danmit Mr.D.P! ...it was a great story. It was also sad. I'm glad that Ann didn't get eaten by those 'big' cats. I'm glad that Kim decided to keep on living for her family. It's still sad to read memories of Ron Stoppable...real sad. Well, keep on writing.

Danny

p.s. I'm glad that Ann's 'boyfriend' is kind of like Ron...
