LOL that was pretty good, I get that way sometimes with my books too. One day I was at breakfast with my friends and one of my best friends and I were singing from Sweeney Todd and everyone threatened to take our books and we both grabbed our respective books and started screaming "NO, NO" and backed away, so it's not that hard to believe she'd be so attached to her books.

Haha, I definitely flip out when people return my books having desecrated them by taking care of them poorly...

You know, you're right, Madame Pince does come across more as a bibliophile and reader than as a trained or imaginative librarian.

Not that I don't sympathise over the care that should be taken over books. (And it's not like I've ever refused to take back a book until every dog-ear was unfolded, or anything...) ;)

She is a character that most people forget about. I am so SO glad you decided to bring her into the light. Now, every time I read HP, I will think of her and how all she wants people to do is respect books, and defend her to the last.
