I usually can't stand vignettes (mostly for their pitiful shortness and resulting shallowness), but these two were excellent: very true to Snape's character (at least the way I see him) and so well-worded that I found myself /loving/ them. Please, add another one soon!

Yes. Lily's eyes in James's face, and so hostile to him - it must have driven him mad.

Yes. Also, Harry got the fame and acclaim that should have belonged to Lily, and he valued her sacrifice so little that he constantly risked his own life which she had died to save.

Snape probably does think Dumbledore cares only for the children and not for him, but in truth, Dumbledore mishandles Harry just as badly. It's my belief Dumbledore is slightly autistic, and has no understanding of other people's feelings unless he uses Legilimency on them.
