Dug this up again. Read it a year ago... couldn't remember the title or author. Only one name stuck: Nyonda. Glad I found this again. It was a serious treat, both then and now! I really enjoy the vivid descriptions and snappy writing. Overall? Awesome!

So, will there be a sequel?

I loved the description of the coming-of-age ceremony in chapter 13. So...when Ni wanders into the Pride Lands, does Zira go with him and then stay for Scar? Or does she show up there on her own later?

I'm wondering if you would object to me doing my own illustrations of this story? Obviously I'd give you all the credit, but I really want to do a pic of the four cubs together. Just let me go dig up those references for Ni and Malka...

I'm slowly making my way through this story (I previously skimmed it). I love the description you have. It's easy to imagine the characters. I guess that comes from being an artist.

Another good chapter, though I'm wondering why Zira and Nyonda didn't tell Ni about what happened to Malka...

The friendship between Zira and Nyonda is sweet. I can see that they really care for each other.

Nice little background on Zira's mother here, I was kind of confused at the begining who Penda was but it's been a while since I read the last chapter. But though this chapter is good I don't really see how it fits too much into the story...

This is better than I expected. It's especially good for a story that starts off without any movie characters.

I really like your idea of how he gets away from them, nice job! A much better idea then just having him outpace them.

Nice job, you didn't take long to wrap up the cliffhanger you left from the last chapter. Though I did get lost for a moment when you rewinded a bit in time to before Zira and Malka got attacked. It might have worked better to put that very first, then switch back to the boys coming to the rescue, and then the rest of the chapter.

An excellent story so far, I like your style. Zira seems like a nice lioness so far, but I can totally see how her little tantrums can turn her into the lioness she is in the second movie. Nice job!
