What memories are we talking about, exactly?

Did dick leave Gotham right around the time that Roy had all his issues? Does Dick's question bring back memories of all Roy's problems with Ollie? Was Dick's leaving Gotham particullarly painful to Roy for some reason?

It probably wouldn't hurt to add a sentance explaining what "sore memories" means.
