I love the pace of this story and have read it several times. Sai/Hikaru pairings (when written right) are interesting to read and I love how much you put into writing about the emotional side of such a relationship. They both have been separated for three years and have lived separate lives from each other, so reading a story that illustrates it at such and angle and pace is perfectly fine with me. I wait patiently for the next update!

If Sai is trying to give Hikaru, what he make him missing... does it means girls to? I don't think it would go too well.

Thanks for the scenes with Kouko. I always though, he could/would give a good parent/mentor for Hikaru, after Sai was gone.

I wonder, what Akira would say, knowing that Hikaru is regularly coming to his house, looking his father playing GO.

PS. I'm more after Hikaru Akira ship, but with Sai I find it interesting as well.

I love your story so far! I just started reading this today, but it's realy good! At least, in my opinion. I like how your story isn't all about Go, and it isn't all about soccer either. Some stories have a whole lot of Go in them, and because I'm not a player, though I do get the overall idea of the game, I don't quite enjoy reading a lot of Go. I like Sai's affection with Hikaru and, just everything else! Great story so far! Great job. Keep writing, please.

I love this fic, I really do. I completely understand how you're making Go a secondary concern. I didn't know anything about Go all throughout reading the manga, but I still read it avidly. The characters are what make Hikaru no Go come alive. And I am so very glad that you've brought Sai back. There needs to be more fics with Sai. =D

Damn. I thought that a new chapter had been uploaded and I got my hopes up. I am glad to see that you aren't abandoning the story, though. I really do enjoy this universe. Hikaru is just so broken yet put back together. Sai is helping, but there are still cracks there, which makes sense.

It isn't natural to spend every single waking (and sleeping) moment with somebody. You would either go insane or start to resent/hate them unless you loved them so completely and unconditionally that you could tolerate them 24/7. And then to not have them at all would be devastating. So Hikaru should be a bit broken inside.

This really is a great and wonderful story (even with the grammar errors ;D), and I truly enjoyed reading it.

Hopefully, the update meant you haven't given the story up. I was skeptical about reading this (I didn't know a thing about the manga, Whistle), but I'm really glad I did.

Is the public going to find out about Hikaru and Sai's relationship? Is the Go world going find out about Hikari/Sai? Is Hikaru going to make First Tier? How about an official game between Akira and Hikaru? Agh! So many questions to be answered!

This is a WONDERFUL piece of work! I like Sai having a life that he's built for himself, and I like the idea that he doesn't just abandon it for Go and Hikaru. The idea he doesn't have a life outside of Hikaru really bugs me and is used far too often in stories. I really like him using his past experience in the Heian court in the drama. His arguments over it with the other actors are wonderful! Your OCs from Sai's life are cool.

I like the idea of Hikaru getting back into soccer and him having the same scary jumps in ability and strength in that sport as he's known for in the Go world. His being teased with the name calling of "Light" makes me giggle every time. Seiji's awesome. Even if I still have a hard time reading his name and not thinking of Ogata. ...As a side note, you may just have convinced me to start reading Whistle!...

As much as I want to see Waya, Isumi and the others of that crowd, and have them be introduced to Sai, I understand that neither of them are ready for that. The conversation between Hikari and Sara over how Hikaru reacted to Fujiwara's going over to the Touya's really illustrated that nicely. Talking about scenes that illustrated things very well and managed to make things more obvious and believable, the scene between the 6 and 7-dan at the beginning of this chapter. I really like this one. It shows what the Go world is thinking of Hikaru's sudden absence, shows that he's not just not neglecting Go, but driving himself forward at a huge rate again. It proves that Go is still really important in Hikaru's life despite the fact that his own games and career are rarely spotlighted. Really good scene, and nicely timed for the story.

The Kaga and Tsutsui interacting makes me grin.

Okay, This isn't going to be much of a review, since I really want to get back to reading the next chapter, and I plan to review once I get the the last chapter and then possibly go back and sporadically review earlier ones. But I have to say, I'm really impressed by how much research and thought you've put into this. I ended up reading the full a/n despite planning on skimming it and moving on since I really like the story. I really liked the explanations for some things here! And I have too mention, I really like your OCs.

I was so excited to see that you had posted another chapter this story is one of the best fan fictions I've read. I so can't wait for another chapter and I hope things work out for you with your computer. Technology is great when it works but a complete pain when something goes wrong with it.
