Well, I for one am glad you took a big risk! :) This is a lovely one-shot, and I think that you captured the whole Christmas in True Narnia beutifully.

Have a wonderful Christmas yourself!

I feel so humbled by this story- not just because your writing is amazing, but because you wrote this in such a sweet, simple way that it has it's own kind of eloquence. I'm a Christian, too, but I could never have written a story so beautiful like this. Thank you; you have no idea what this story has done for me today. Cheers, love! I can't wait for you to write more.

I really like that story. It's a perfect explanation to why Christmas is in Narnia. And I like that you use Tirian in this story, and other ones. He really is one of my favourite Narnians. Very nice.

Post-LB stories seem to me to be hard to write,. you did a great job with this one.

Really good. I have to say, I never really thought about why they had Christmas in Narnia. I like your explanation a lot.

That was beautiful! Something I'd wondered about too. You explained it so wonderfully--and the characters were so...not sure of the word. True to canon is all I can think of.

This is great! I love reading Christian/Narnian fan fictions that link Jesus and Aslan. This was well written, non-offensive, has an interesting story line, and is creative! Well done! I hope you write more.

I *have* always wondered why they would have had Christmas in Narnia (besides the obvious explanation of "it's a children's book and a cute way of getting the audience to identify with the characters about why it's so awful to be under the White Witch's rule"). I'm not sure I accept your theory as an in-universe explanation, because the British version of the Christmas celebration still doesn't fit, and if Christ is not called Christ, why would you call it Christmas? (And also because Lewis deliberately does not mention Christ by name, merely alludes that Aslan can be found under that name in our world). It wouldn't make sense for Narnians to worship an aspect of God they are unfamiliar with by name.

So, I offer two other speculations:
1) They don't actually celebrate *Christmas*, but the Narnian equivalent, but they also don't speak English, and something about the magic translates the holiday into the closest one from our world for the children, so they can recognize it.
2) The first king and queen, who were, after all, from London, continued to celebrate Christian holidays as they had at home, and if perhaps the traditions were kept but over time, the origins were lost, it would make sense, and since Narnia has Aslan, they would not have become empty ceremonies.

(Also, you write very well. Tirian is difficult.)
