I was a bit confused with the beginning of their interaction, as I had no idea who was saying and doing what, but it was still good.

That was... strange. They weren't very in character towards the end. Once Neji cam into the picture I mean. Before that, Shikamaru was pretty good though.

Very cute. I found this after I reviewed your other story, and I have to agree, these two are my guilty pleasure too. ^^

I think my favorite line is "If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you’d be in love with Chouji yourself." That is just awesome and very much Shikamaru. Nice job!
