Amazing story. Really and truly amazing. I loved the progression from Obnoxious Guy to best friends, and Rodney not even remembering that John was the pilot who tried to make him sick. Loved this. Well-written.

Why is this story so awesome? You suck; stories shouldn't be allowed to be this awesome.

That was really sweet. I think the friendship between McKay and Sheppard is even more touching because of their differences, but I liked how you subtly wove in the flashbacks so that it occurs to us that they probably wouldn't have made the effort to become friends had they not been thrown together in Atlantis.

You had them perfectly in character all the way through, and everyone else for that matter, and that final scene made me smile as I could almost see it playing out in my head. Especially Rodney pointing out that he didn't really want anything bad to happen, now he knows it was actually Sheppard he was maligning!

Aw, I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. That was as sweet as Rodney holding Teyla's baby. Major aw factor going on, in a manly sort of way of course.

Another fun story. I love the way you write Rodney and John. The backstory you wrote about how they first met was cool. I thought it was funny that John would try to get Rodney sick during that first flight to McMurdo. John's sudden realization that he was lonely on Antartica and that he is now happy on Atlantis was a great moment.

Great story. McKay and Sheppard have such an unexpected friendship. I believe it is genuine because of their differences.

My favorite part is the one after the Eye. Nice job on Sheppard in that. Quite in-character and seeing the development you put in the end, it was a perfect middle ground!

Brilliant. I loved tracing the slow - and sometimes reluctant - development of John and Rodney's friendship - you've really given us another perspective, the way these two characters are so different, that 'could've' gone the other way if they hadn't been removed from Earth and put in the same galaxy together. And it makes the friendship all the sweeter, to know how much they've been through and how far they've come together. Thanks for the ride.

Loved it, loved it, really and truly loved it! The growth in the relationship between Shep and Rodney was so very well done using material from canon and yet adding the writer's own personal depth to make it all the better.
