Gah, when I got the ff alert, I was like, 'oh crap, she's already got the contest fic done?' So, yeah, I was relieved to see your note... and then amazed that you had enough time to write TWO stories.

Anyway, it was really cute. Dearka teasing Yzak to no end... wonderful. You did a good job with how they act when they are alone versus when other people are watching. Also, your best metaphor was 'the purpled scar across his faces slithered like an angry viper.' Nice and vivid.
