Warg 2006-06-06 ch 1,	abuseHey.. It is hard for poor Yahiko, seeing his idol down. I have often wanted to see the scenes at the Shirobeko. Lovely work with this fic. Also, Yahiko's reaction to Battousai, his attempt at hiding his feelings and his little outburst at the end highlighted his character wonderfully. Except a very few outta place words, this was a perfect yahiko fic.. thanx for the great read ^_^

sueb262 2005-05-27 ch 1,	abuseYahiko gets almost no attention, but I think his character is fertile ground for some real development, and this story is a perfect example. The effect of a "hero" on a young boy can hardly be overstated--you really get into Yahiko's head and open it up for us.

Even though Kenshin is only there for a moment and says nothing, his presense is still so keenly felt, still a resounding force touching the lives of those around him. I also really liked that this was written in the present tense, as if we were companion to Yahiko at this very moment in his life. One I was grateful to be included in, even if it was only for a short, imagined moment.

It's sad to think that our heroes are mortal, that one day they will lose the fight, and that one day they won't be strong enough to save the day. We look up to these heroes of ours, we want to be like them because they know what they are talking about and what they believe in, and because we believe in what they are saying. Their messages stirs something within us that causes us to act on our own growing beliefs and ideals. Our heroes help show us how we want to be while still being ourselves. And it's because of this that we want to take care of our heroes, we don't want to see them fall or get hurt because they have influenced us so much and taught us about oursleves. It's the heroes of the past that make us into the heroes of the future. ...o.O Sorry about the long rant, but it was a nice story and it stirred up a semi-intelligent musing. Oro? ^_^ I hope that you continue to like Rurouni Kenshin, it's one of my two favorite mangas and series. Have a Happy Holiday! ::n.n::

TanukiGirl22 2004-01-06 ch 1,	abuseinteresting fic. you did great with yahiko and kenshin's connection, this is a great piece. yahiko is an interesting character, watsuki-san based him on himself i hear, so you know that yahiko has got to be a bit deeper than his seemingly insulting self. yahiko is so under-appreciated, he really can do more if anyone gave him a chance at it. i thought this fic was based on the anime timeline, but the manga is pretty close too. i especially liked how you looked into yahiko's feelings on the Battousai, how he's scared but at the same time awed my his strength and skill. i'd love it if you reviewed my fics, i'm a hopeless romantic, so many of my stories are romance, but there's some other stuff you can look at. Return is on that moment where they had just come back, a little different from your reference to it, but similar to how you thought of it. i really love your works, i read most of them on TFME (are you the author of all of those hilarious omake? like hick-a-muck?) keep writing, you're great at it
