omgosh that is so cute! i SERIOUSLY did not guess it was umino at all! that is so sweet. *cheer* the dork got the girl the dork got a girl...i alwayz loved that in the show and i'm soo happy someone had the gutz to write it out. AHHH it wuz soo good! i know i'm coming back to read this over and over again and whenever i think about umino i will think about this! sooo awesome!

I thought it was Mamoru the whole time! Wow - that one had a big surprise ending. Great job!

I'd say that the nine months you spent on this were justified. This is a beautifully done character study of Umino. It fleshes out the character without contradicting anything we've seen in the anime. You also captured the bittersweetness of letting go of a cherished dream without bogging down in angst. I also liked Naru's mixed responses to Umino's PDA. Very real. I look forward to checking out some of your longer pieces when I have time to sit down and read. One little nitpick-that very last line should be "Go Ravens!" :)

Really a great 'fic. I'll be the first to admit I thought it was another Serena/Darien 'fic, like so many others I've seen. What you've written, in Umino's thoughts, the way he thinks, I really like how you've pulled him away from the NA version - where he doesn't seem to have a personality thicker than a dust-ball - and made him into an actual person who feels pain and love to the degree we all do.
