JJ had excellent advice for her, and I liked that though she was still scared and wrestling with her disbelief, Penelope still gathered up her courage and went to try to make things right. I could see how Derek would be just as hurt as she was in the last chapter. It would suck to have your friend doubt you or think you were being insincere or hurtful. You played that back and forth very well. And then when she tracked him to the bar and they finally honestly talked things out and finally kissed, oh it was perfect! I loved the last line, "Derek," his name was a sigh and he swallowed thickly. All he could do was squeeze her hand tightly and lift the other to her neck, letting his thumb play there for a moment before he kissed her again. |

You're still doing a great job and I really like this story. You write both Derek and Penelope really well, but especially Derek, you do a beautiful job capturing him. |
