FireHeart Alchemist 2009-07-10 . chapter 3Oh my GOD I think I actually just cried! Checking...yeah, I totally did. Brilliant! Good luck with the Genesis Awards! |
Julienne 2009-05-12 . chapter 3Wow, this story is powerful especially the final part with lines like "and isn’t that strange, that the only time she could pull herself together was when she was broken most of all." My heart ached for Yuffie and Vincent as we followed on her painful path of rediscovery, and the ending was plain perfect. Thank you for a wonderful introduction to FFVII fanfiction! |
VeelaChic 2009-01-25 . chapter 3This is amazing. It made me cry so hard. It was completely perfect. |
 Youko-Kokuryuuha 2008-10-10 . chapter 3That actually made me cry.
Seriously.
The Vincent fade ins & outs were like little monologues that weren't monologues, because they were like a story each time. And the Sephiroth bit made me feel pretty down, too, because he had gone from a great evil to just a sad tired man, and all he wanted was to just not be hated.
And Aeris' bit, about the Planet being an angry child, was an excellent analogy, because I could really picture that. And when Vincent put Yuffie to sleep, when she felt him, that just about tore me down.
You've a talent for making people who don't cry cry, La. Favorited.

Youko-Kokuryuuha 2008-10-10 . chapter 1Oh wow, La, this is good. I love the concept of cutting into the past from the present, and then disrupting the past again with the present, like a flickering television set. And the Yuffie and Vinnie seen was wow.
Just wow.

Aqueous Macrocosm 2008-09-23 . chapter 3OMFG. I cried like eight times or so, because this was an amazing story and it was so... touching. ^^, I love the way the story is sort of set up like she's remembering as it goes on- with all the cutoffs and the visions and BWAH! I love it so freaking much |
kinokokichigai 2008-09-07 . chapter 3god damn it, this is so beautiful that it shouldn't be allowed. |
TheFinalCountdown 2008-09-06 . chapter 3I cried, which considering me, I think is proof enough that the story really moved me. Excellent job. I think I'll go check out Hearts now.
(still crying) |
Auditory Eden 2008-08-07 . chapter 1oh, trust me, I already worship her stories. I worship the desk her computer lives on...really... |
Starwolf Magic 2008-07-22 . chapter 3Wonderful story!! I want to know what happens next!! |
Firatyantian 2008-05-15 . chapter 1 great story. one complaint about it though. Cait Sith has a Scottish accent, not an Irish one as you put down. Apart from that, a very good story. you have done a very good job. |
Umaguma 2008-04-16 . chapter 1Very engrossing story, well done with wonderful visuals.
I like how you play with the Aeris/Aerith name distinction, I originally played FFVII when it first came out and remember hearing that Aeris's name was translated wrong (apparently the symbol for 's' and 'th' are the same), and was originally meant to resemble the word "earth", so I guess Aerith is the correct pronunciation.
But I'm partial to Aeris, sounds prettier and more natural to me. Probably 'cause I've been playing FFVII repetitively for the past ten or so years, while I've played kingdom hearts...once.
Playing any final fantasy game is like reading a good book, sometimes you just have to pick it up and enjoy it again even if you've read it a million times over.
I use to think that Kingdom Hearts using FF characters was a marketing move, which kind of annoyed me because of how precious these characters are to their fan base. At least my precious FF IV and FF VI characters remain untouched(or FF II and FF I for me...*feeling old*).
Anyways again for the wonderful story, keep 'em coming! |
Pen Against Sword 2008-04-11 . chapter 3I was perusing T. Costa's favorite list because I rarely ever find fanfiction that I want to READ anymore (weeding through all the sludge is tiresome) and I figured T. Costa, being a good writer, would have good taste.
I understand she is your beta, so I clicked your name and came to the third thing I saw--this story.
The thing is, even though they're few and far between, I love the Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy characters remembering their origins stories. And I love Yuffie, particularly a well-written one.
This story is amazing, and I think you're an amazing writer. The scene with Sephiroth had me choking up because it was so poignant, and it captures Sephiroth in a way that I can never get quite right in my head (I can't imagine him pre-nutso).
The stages of Yuffie's remembrance, and the explanation you have for why AVALANCHE and everyone else doesn't remember their pasts is a great one. It's so original, and I loved it.
You pulled this fic off nicely, and wrapped it up so well. Instant fave--I'm skipping off to read the rest of your stuff. |
 SerenitySoldier97 2008-03-19 . chapter 3Amazing.
Just so...so...WOW.
Probably THE best Kh-FFVII crossover and Yuffentine story I've ever read.
Seriously.
I can't even find the words to describe this!!
Simply just soo AMAZING and WOW!
Ugh, I'll get back to you when I'm done looking for words |
